✘ Round 1 | [Text]
Greetings.
I am new to this city. I seek information on a number of things. I have been told that an individual that goes by the name of 'Arya' may be able to tell me more. But anyone else who is willing to part with information--on the city, on the supposed 'gods' that rule it, or any attempts to escape from it--well, it would be appreciated. If you require it, I will find some way to reciprocate, once I have gotten my bearings.
That is all. [He's tempted to ask about the presence of nonhumans in the city and how they are tolerated, but that strikes him as a bit too specific of a question. He's largely been in hiding since his arrival, both because his mission to earth mandated secrecy and because all previous attempts at contact had ended absolutely horribly for him. Glacius isn't feeling secure or trusting enough yet to give away what he really is, hence the text--it's hard to adjust his large fingers to the buttons and he rarely writes in common, but it doesn't give away his appearance or his voice. It's as impersonal as he can currently be. This will have to do for now.]

[Amos is pretty sure whoever's on the other end isn't human, but he's not going to say anything if they don't want it said. They're trying to be circumspect, after all, and he's too polite to call them out.
That and making unknown non-human creatures mad is a good way to end up as a smoking crater in the ground.]I'm merely repeating what Hope told me himself. Whether or not it's the whole truth, well, I can't say, but he seems a straightforward fellow.
He told me Fear opened the Door in a bid for power without knowing what it would do or how it works, and we and the monsters pulled through are the unintentional results. But we do provide them with power. Hope is trying to resurrect the rest of the pantheon in an attempt to find someone to send us back, because he doesn't know how.
And in the meantime, he's trying to keep us alive.
Re: [Text]
But that gets put to the side when Hope's bid to send them all home is mentioned. That takes Glacius completely off guard--he'd been thinking of all the gods as his enemy, but if this is true...] Alright, so let us assume that Hope, at least, is on our side. Why would the other gods that seek to torment us play along with that goal? Why would any of them agree to release us? I very much want to believe, but I find this suspect.

You can also get into contact with them yourself, through their temples or on the network. They tend to be more informative if you're polite, though. Not that you aren't, but just letting you know.

It's hard to tell with gods, sometimes. I'm not sure if these are more like humans in nature or more "divine," so to speak. The more "godlike" the more inscrutable their ways.
I'm still working on gathering information on that.
