[Early on the evening ("evening" ... what even are these suns) of the tenth, Rita decides that since she isn't dead or raging out, and since she's stuck here for however long, she may as well start indulging herself again.

(ooc: your character is probably not immune (maybe?? idk), but they can be if you want them to be! however, ICly it's not something rita would know, so it'd be... a risk. anyway, the point of the post is rita's priorities are skewed. have fun c: )

[It's funny because she never stopped to think about this when the plan was to get Major to kill all the zombies and then kill him and Liv. Zombies weren't people to her. Now she's one of them. Fuck poetic justice, honestly.

Still, it's kind of nice that Drake cares? Rita still would've let Major kill him if things hadn't gotten so out of hand, but hey. Now they can be zombie friends!!

For a while, anyway. And boy, if only he knew. She's as good as dead. Vaughn was killing her and Major before she woke up here. Doesn't get much worse than your dad telling you you're selfish because you were hoping he maybe didn't want you to die.]

Hunger isn't the only thing that can do it. Pain, anger, or fear will trigger it too. It's kind of a flight or fight thing, if you perceive you're in danger you're at risk. But in those cases you can stay in control. I've fought it off plenty of times, it's difficult but doable.
