[She's had her angry outburst at the actual machine, and after a couple of days of thinking about it, now she's just irritated. Naturally, the slightly hypocritical angle of her annoyance given what happened between her and R doesn't occur to her while she's squinting at the rest of Hadriel.

Julie, of all people, should understand that one individual in a horde can make all the difference.

Are any of you actually trusting this Null that was so conveniently left here? Seriously, anyone believing a word it says must have hit their head. For all we know it's just tricking us so it can send its location back to the others and they can find us again.

Should just set the fucking thing on fire, bury it in a hole and forget about it.

Look, I panicked okay? Metaphors aren't my strong suit.
You wouldn't take my word for it anyway, and we both know that.
I don't know why I'm bothering.
I don't know why you're bothering.
We're not going to change each other's minds anyway.

Honestly? No. But I don't think that's what we're doing.
If I thought it was going to kill us, I'd do it myself.

You don't, actually.
Or, I don't know, I can't tell you.
But, I guess, just try to think about it from Name's perspective.
You're stuck in a hostile city, you need repairs, and regardless of whether or not you need those repairs to contact home and send in the army or just to be functional again, why do you contact the enemy to help you?
We tore those things apart without a second thought. One of us probably did whatever's wrong with it.
Exactly two people sided with the Null, and they're both gone. It has no allies here, only people who stood aside or people who tried to kill it.
It doesn't make sense.
And the only people who don't make sense, who do things for dumb reasons, are people who feel things.
It's lonely and it's scared.
And don't give me that "but it's not worth the lives of everyone here" because like I said, I don't think that's the risk we're taking, we could easily kill one wounded Null in like, a heartbeat.
And don't give me "revenge is reasonable" because I know it is, but you weren't the only one they hurt, so that decision isn't yours to make.

[Kinda is better than not at all? He'll take it.]

It could get the location out pretty fast, sure.
But I think we can at least say it's not an automatic thing, since it's up and running and the Null haven't kicked down our doors yet.
The solution is we disable its communications... stuff. I don't know, leaving that to the robot people.

For the record, I did listen to you.
I just still thought you were mostly wrong, sorry.
I get that you're angry and scared, it makes sense.
Honestly I should be angry, too, but I'm not.
But if I was, I hope somebody would tell me not to let it be in charge.

I try not to get angry, it isn't good for anybody.

[He'll just leave that nice and vague.]

Newt's kind of an ass.
He just sort of says things without really thinking about it.
He probably doesn't mean it? But hell if I know.
