Null aside the gods are the ones keeping us here? Fear specifically has the power to move the entire city if the Null attack again so yeah you really should care. Theyre the only ones with any real power here. Ignoring that is just flat out idiotic.

Fear's obviously worried about this one Null. If one is all it takes, why are we trying to be friendly to it? Do the potential gains really outweigh the risks?

Look where I come from all the "officials" in charge of the Kaiju War were way too quick to jump to these same conclusions. Eliminate the threat as quickly as possible to bypass as much risk as possible.
But how are we supposed to do that if we get handed a chance to learn more about our enemy and then we just gun it down without thinking?
If I hadnt been the only guy on the planet willing to study the Kaiju my entire world would be eradicated by now. The same thing's gonna happen here if we don't use this opportunity to our advantage. We know next to nothing about the Null. Now we get to fix that. Yeah its definitely worth the risk.
