[The video is showing two very different men sitting side by side on a couch in one of the apartments. The soldier, big, strong, metal arm, and still in his tactical gear but without his mask and goggles, seems to be showing the other, Steve, how to use the phone. The video joins this demonstration already in progress.]

Like that. See?

[He hands the phone over to Steve.]

And now it’s showing to everyone else.

[Steve’s figured out...well, most of the basics. Those that he could on his own. He was too stubborn to ask for help, but somehow Bucky must’ve known that he needed a little more instruction.]

Huh. [He takes the phone from the larger man.] So you’re saying that everyone can see and hear us right now? [The same way Steve has seen and heard others over the network. He blinks, expression brightening with an idea.] To everyone I haven’t met yet, my name’s Steve Rogers. And this is Bucky.

[Steve nods his head in his direction, but he never looks away from the phone.]

He used to like dancing. I don’t know if he does or not anymore, but if anyone needs a partner, it can’t hurt to ask.

[See what happens when you teach him things, Barnes.

For the soldier’s part, he turns his head to glare at Steve, then leans back into the couch, crossing his arms and scowling. He sure as hell isn’t going dancing with anyone.]

No one else calls me Bucky.

[The way it’s phrased, it’s clearly not a statement or a request. More like an order.

Only Steve gets to call him Bucky.]

(Bucky is red and Steve is blue. Replies will come from both.)

[ Says Arya, voice tight and glaring at the camera. Steve already knew how to use the network, Steve was much bigger, and if Steve had come back, he would have sought her out.

Right? ]

[That gets a brow arch. He didn't know that was something that was up for debate.

I'm pretty sure that I am.

[ Steve doesn't remember her.

That realization hurts, tapping into a deep fear that even if she were to go home and see her family again, they wouldn't recognize her. That she's too changed, and doesn't belong there anymore.

Arya's gaze hardens, because anger is a good way to avoid tears. ]

Liar. Steve Rogers was far taller than you. He had a big shield and stupid pants and he left, long ago. I do not know what you are.

I don't lie.

[Not unless you count a handful of times that he lied to the United States Army. Moving on.

If it wasn't for his talk with Bruce, Steve would have no idea what she was talking about. But she says taller and shield and he blinks as he puts it all together.]

Wait, you knew me after the procedure?

[ Procedure? Arya's brow furrows. She doesn't know anything about a procedure. This must be a trick. ]

What procedure?

The one that was supposed to make me into the Steve you knew.

I was really here before?

You were. We lived together, in one of the large, twisted houses.

Sounds like we must've been really good friends.

What's your name?

We were, I think. I was not as good at making friends then than I am now.

[ At least this Steve will never know she lied to him about so much. ]

I am called Arya.

Yeah, it's something I've had some trouble with too.

[For one reason or another.]

Think we can start over?

[ Arya smiles a little, small but genuine. ]

Yes. I'd like that very much.

Me too.

Where're you from, Arya?

Westeros. It is very different from your world. Apparently America does not have any castles.

...you are from America, right?

I am. And you're right, it's a long way to the nearest castle.

But do you have them? Castles? Or are they just a thing of the stories, for you?

I'm pretty sure some still exist. Maybe in Ireland, or England.

Are those lands like America?

They are. Most of them are much older. My family comes from Ireland, pretty sure there's lot of castles there.

[He doesn't like her tone or her glare. His eyes narrow and he glares right back.]

He is.

He cannot be. [ Arya is not intimidated by this man, whoever he is. ]

I knew Steve Rogers. This man must be a copy, and a poor one at that.

[He frowns. The man... Bruce, had known Steve before too, but when he was big.]

Did you know him... as a big man?

Yes.

[ Arya adds, with a hint of worry in her voice: ]

Did something happen to him? To rob him of his height and memories?

No. It's... the opposite.

[He frowns more, his brow furrowed, because he doesn't completely understand it himself.]

He started like this. Small. Then there was... a serum. Something that made him big. He doesn't remember because it hasn't happened to him yet.

But he was here before. So how can he be back, but this time, be younger?

[ Arya's frown deepens. ]

If you are lying, I will make it so you never speak again.

I don't know. But I'm not lying.

[Even if he doesn't find even the remotest threat in this girl's words. If anything, it's cute.]
