We technically don't have currency, yes. That makes the concept of "gambling" at the casino optional. Guess if someone really wants to up the ante for effect, they can gamble with things they own, like a barter system with each other.

Otherwise, the chips are good for anyone who wants to bring home drinks for later. All our shit is made here -- no divine poofing -- so it'd be bullshit to let people hoard whole bottles to take home unless they have something to show for it.
