That's kind of weird. If people can do all of that with--with cybernetics, why would anyone stay human? I bet it's not exactly cheap, though.

[They were organic and living once, too. Seemed they subscribed to the same school of thought that being an unfeeling machine is the way to be.]

But yes, finances has a lot to do with it. Not everyone can afford the procedure, or find a sponsor to pay for them. There are alternatives for research groups, but those can be... sketchy.
