I'm curious about something. I know a lot of mythology from my own world, but I'm interested in hearing about any another kind of mythology that's not well known on Earth around the 21st century. For instance, I remember reading a Greek story about how males and females were first created and I know there's differences between it and, say, Biblical mythology.

The one I remember reading was written by Plato. He said that humans used to be a mix of two people that consisted of one male and one female so they had two heads and eight limbs, but the gods didn't want them getting too powerful so they separated them into men and women. Supposedly that's where 'soulmates' come from, because you're looking for your other half. I'm also a little curious what people think of that story. [He absolutely does not have a personal ulterior motive for asking that particular question, none at all, nope.] Do you think there's any truth to it? That there's really such a thing as 'soulmates'? ... Or if it's even as limited as having to be between a man and a woman?

You know, the versions I heard had some who were both men and some who were both women. So. I think you need to choose what to believe, and stop trying to punish yourself.....or go down and ask Plato. Or your father.

[Will isn't sure he believes you at all, but okay. Sure Nico. You're totally wondering whether soulmates have to be heterosexual because you're okay with being gay.]

I was just... thinking about how all the myths in our world usually have something that's true about them in some way or another and I've wondered before what might be true about that particular one.

What do you think is true about it then?

He has absolutely no idea if soulmates are something that really exist and if they are, if he's found his, but he does know one thing - he feels like Will Solace being his soulmate wouldn't be a bad thing at all, and he hopes it stays like that. They haven't even been dating for a year yet so who even knows what will happen, but might as well enjoy it for however long it lasts, right? Which will hopefully be for a very very long time.]

Okay. But only if you block the sun for me. It's way too ridiculously hot on this planet.

Blocking the sun for you sounds like fun. But kind of defeats the purpose of you getting some sunlight.

[That's Will. Always willing to be ridiculous for you. As for soulmates, well, he certainly hoped so, but life was (hopefully) long and Nico was awfully serious. Seriousness was sometimes hazardous to his health.]

I'm not sure how kisses would boost my vitamin d, but you're the doctor, so I'll take your word for it. [It's a good thing Nico doesn't think about that comment too much because if he really did, then there's definitely a dirty joke about kissing and things with the letter d in there.]

[Yes there is, don't think too hard about that joke Nico. Will would be rather worried about the color red you'd turn. But, you were adorable, so he probably didn't have to worry too much. Yet.]

[At least doing this has kind of put him a bit more at ease, even where he doesn't feel worried talking about kissing another guy where someone can easily see. If someone was vehemently against it... he figures they would have said something about it by now, and pretty much all the people who have responded so far have simply said that gender doesn't really matter. There's some things he's not going to just come out and shout from the rooftops yet but. It's progress, at least.]
