There's a creature here who killed my friend, and injured my brother. I don't know what it calls itself, but my friend describes a woman with eyes as black as pitch.
[ His eyes are far too bright to be human, a feral fire lit behind them ]
Have a care for yourselves, for it has, apparently, killed at least once and tried to do so more than that.
[ And then almost absently ]
Findekano, my king, I ask your blessing on my hunt.
[ And you know, permission to torture and play with his prey but he won't say that aloud ]

Fine. But it needs to learn not to behave thus. [ can he kill it at least ONCE ]
Video
It does- and if it is in the wind, it needs to be captured. But while death may be one thing, you cannot ask me to condone torture. Not as your king, and not as High King.
[And yet Maglor will not be satisfied with that, will he? A third way, any other way....]
Video
No. [ Maglor agrees, and settles, the bristling coming back under some form of control, Fingon's acknowledgement of his need to hurt it accepted, even if Fingon won't condone it ]
I promise, no torture.
Video
Do what you must, then. For others' safety, and for the lady's peace of mind.
Video
[ And then, because he knows Fingon hates having to play that role ]
Thank you, cousin.
((ooc: Sindarin - 'as you wish, my king'))
Video
Just remember: all this we must live with, even after you have avenged the lady. Think carefully about what you do when the moment to strike comes.
And come back alive, Makalaure. Do that, above all other things.
Video
I will, I promise. I'll get Tyelpe to check my armor, first.
Video
Good.
[That's something less to worry about.]
Then let him work without pushing him. And go to do justice.
[As in, not vengeance. He trusts you understand the distinction, don't let him down.]
Video
Yes, Aranya.
Video
Good luck, cousin.
Video
Thank you cousin. Will you look after Margaery for me?
Video
You needn't ask. I would be glad to look after her.
Video
Even so. [ He murmurs ] I'll bring Nelyo home safe to you too.
Video
You had better. Look after each other, the both of you.
Video
Thank you.
Video
[Don't fail it, please remains unspoken]
Video
What would we do without you.
[ I think you both know that answer, Caranthir points out dryly ]
Video
[Which is true enough, even if it misses the real answer. Fingon doesn't want to have to deal with the thought, right about now.]
But I am here now, so you needn't worry about that.
Video
And then perhaps a few extra for special occasions.
Video
Video
[ Maglor offers him saucily ]

Video
Ugg. Clearly I waited too long to deal with the helm; the bad luck has already rubbed off on me.
Video
I haven't actually used any, have I?
