There's a creature here who killed my friend, and injured my brother. I don't know what it calls itself, but my friend describes a woman with eyes as black as pitch.

Wow. I don't think I could cut off a head. [She's gutted a man once in self-defense. That was instinct.] Temporary's got to be better than nothing. Gives us time to prepare for its return.

We're bound to other things. Sort of. It depends on the person. I don't think Hannibal was bound to anything. [He certainly wasn't bound to any traditional morals.]

We have other monsters that we understand. Mine aren't as literal, but I'm trying to figure this one out.

I'd really like that - the teaching and the wards. Anything to make this place a little safer. [And to catch the demon if she can.] Thank you.

Cutting it all the way off is probably a little excessive [ He acknowledges ] - but is is a sure way to ensure a death. A heart wound works too, although it can be harder to be sure you've pierced the heart.
