Seeking redemption was my entire goal before I was brought to this place. But I've lost my path recently... I ought to set myself in the right direction again.

Since I've committed numerous atrocities in my past, it's only fair that I start, first, by revealing them all here and now. After that... I don't know what I'll do, but I'll have to figure out something.

1. I used to frequently beat up and bully the person who became my best friend.
2. I ~~have~~ ~~had~~ ~~have~~ had wrongful feelings toward my best friend's beloved.
3. I'm constantly jealous of my best friend, to the point where I often loathe him.
4. I tried to stab my best friend in the back.
5. I stole some crystals.
6. I threatened to kill a little girl.
7. I betrayed all of my friends by fighting against them.
8. I aided in the kidnapping of my best friend's beloved.
9. I purposefully skipped my best friend's wedding.
10. I still sometimes feel a deeply overwhelming moral conflict.
11. In the middle of an endless war, I knocked out and kidnapped several of my allies.
12. I failed the dragoons, my kingdom, and my family name in every way possible.
13. I once dressed like this: Open attached image.

I can surely keep going, but this may be enough of a start. Forgive me. I truly regret all that I've done.

Ah, so I could envision each room as being something that's... fitting to each person? I think I could easily do that. There are plenty of people I'd rather not forget, but... I'm willing to do what it takes to ensure they stay in my mind. [He pauses a moment.] And there are plenty of people and things I'd sooner forget... though that may take more consideration. as to whether I'll want to do it. I've already dealt with amnesia, so I'm less eager to experience it again.

[But remembering, that's something he's very eager to try, so that he doesn't forget again.]

Even the ones you lock away in their own room are still there. You just don't let them out, don't let yourself think about them. So it's not really like amnesia. If you had to remember them, you can picture yourself unlocking their doors.

So then... you have a considerable amount of control over this process. Interesting. I'd never realized such a thing could be possible... You really don't need special powers to manage it? You're sure about that, right?

[He needs to be certain. He's been through mind control, dealt with having his own mind clouded by darkness. To be free of that, or less susceptible... it's hard to imagine, be he's eager to try.]

You do, it's all in your control. And you don't need any special powers. It's based on something called the method of loci on my world, and there were no powers on my world.

I'm impressed that you could do so much, even without any sort of powers. This technique sounds extremely valuable... I only wish I'd heard of it sooner.

I suppose it's not too late to start, though.

I had a good teacher. He was a psychiatrist and knew all kinds of tricks.

That's true.

That's impressive. I had no idea there were such effective non-magical mind-tricks out there.

There are other tricks too. Lance might know them.

I take it he's somewhere around here? Those seem like they'd be worthwhile tricks to learn.
