[ sometimes you just wanna be a dick and make other people bummed out. this is one of those times. ]

Before my great-grandparents were born, the world was in chaos. There were storms, and earthquakes, and floods. And there was war. Years passed and countries were destroyed, most of them flooded. From the destruction came my country, Panem. Things were hard, but they made due. Still, people were unhappy and angry. They made a plan to overthrow the government. There was a war.

Have you ever been through a civil war?

It was going that direction.

Anyway. The first rebellion. It torn the country apart and people were worse off than before. The Capitol bombed one of the districts, destroyed it. Completely gone.

After that, one by one the districts surrendered. But it wasn't enough, and they decided all the district citizens had to be punished for their betrayal.

Not exactly.

They decided that to show we were truly sorry for what we'd done and grateful for everything the Capitol provides, each district would offer two tributes every year to flight to the death. That's been going on for 75 years.

I was supposed to live the rest off my life in peace. They sent me back in the arena. And no told me about plans for a second rebellion. So really you could say everyone I ever met stabbed me in the back.

Well. One of them stabbed me in the front.

Yeah, I had to go back because this dumb little girl thought she would disobey our president, publicly, on live TV. so we all got punished. I heard she lived.
