I've noticed, which is why I don't think attracting his attention while affected by an event is the best plan.

I think you've already succeeded in making yourself the most interesting target.

[Which is not something Lance is super pleased about, but he thinks this might get through to Harlan a little better than Lance's other goals; in addition to not wanting a fight to break out, he doesn't think the conversation is especially good for Harlan mentally or emotionally. The response only makes him more convinced of that.]
