by default no. u cant be the same person w.o ur memories.
but thats not to say they cant still be themselves.
ppl change all the fuckin time. im not the same person i was a couple months ago. same doesnt mean shit.
idk how this shit works like scientifically but same brain same body says to me that the memories might be in there somewhere.
like a subconscious thing.

But you remember everything you were doing back then, right? So is it really the same thing as forgetting your whole life?

The one who rescued me didn't even remember his name. He was trying, but he only got the first letter. 'R'. Maybe it's all in there, but he didn't remember any of it.

its a long story but something like this happened to me before.
i lost my magic. im not supposed to be able to lose my magic. its literally written into my fuckin dna.
tldr it took abt a year but i was able to uh ig unlock it again.
crazy shit can happen.
