Y'know, it's basic knowledge that there's a lot of bits and pieces you can lose and still live.

Well, still be alive, I guess is the better way to say it.

[Living might imply something greater than simply managing to not be dead] 

But what is it that, were you to lose it, you wouldn't be you anymore?

One could argue that your memories are important too. [So, maybe both of them.]

So even if you lost your hands, your feet, your sight, you couldn't do any of the things you loved anymore you'd still be you so long as you had your memories and soul?

I think so. It might change, but you would still BE. Do you only think about what you do?

Being and being you are two different things.

I don't think ME is completely defined by what I do.

I guess the last event just got me thinking about it. How much can you lose before, you know, it might not be worth it anymore?
