❅ Nine (Video)

(Sansa's Tully blood has surfaced enthusiastically thanks to their new environment, taking her somewhat by surprise. She is dressed in a white shift and she is barefoot, standing on a rock near the sea. Her auburn hair is plaited neatly down her back and she is smiling at the rolling waves below.)

I don't believe I have ever learned how to properly swim. I need lessons; can anyone provide?

(Or there's just the "jump in the water and figure it out" method. She would rather not go about it so crudely.)

The water looks refreshing. Is it cold? The sun must warm the uppermost layer, but the depths have to be freezing.

[Kelson would have preferred that too but he was starting to be just thrilled she wasn't wearing jeans or shorts or a tiny skirt. A shift wasn't what he would call modest but well, it wasn't a halter top and a pair of short shorts. And she was talking about swimming. Which was acceptable. One could not swim in a dress, at least if one wished not to drown.]

Teaching or swimming? Teaching is rather rewarding, not that I've had much the opportunity, but I suppose swimming is no more tiring than fencing, not that I suppose my lady would have much practice in that are either.

Winterfell had snow year round?

[Kelson had never been to such a land. Winter was hard enough in Gwynedd, and it only lasted half the year.]

No, splashing I wouldn't say is ladylike. But neither is drowning. Surely there is a happy medium.

[Kelson would have preferred both sexes taught as children. It was easier then.]

[Scars are unfortunately a way of life. He would have hated seeing them on a woman, however, especially of such gentle birth. He suppressed a sigh, hearing that she too was learning how to use a sword. Was it Margaery rubbing off on Sansa? Or the other way around? Either way, he did not like it. Not that he seemed to have much say in the matter, so his dislike was only observational.

So, he tried the same argument he tried with Margery. Maybe it would work better here.]

I'd rather you not have to carry a weapon at all. Tis not something a lady should have to wield. Have you thought of a bodyguard?

[Kelson listens, hoping this conversation goes better than the one he had with Margaery. Or Jon Snow. He had honestly expected him to be on Kelson's side. He missed Gwynedd, where women didn't use swords and men didn't teach them how.]

Your seasons last for years? Truly? I've never heard of such a thing.

Songs can make anything sound beautiful and romantic. I think that's their appeal, experiencing what we might never.Drowning, however romantic it may have sounded, is best avoided I think.
