Hello, everyone! I wanted to remind you that the Sewing Shop is open and ready for business here on the North Island. I can make a wide variety of clothing or embellish that which you already have. You have only to ask.

The only price is that you have to obtain a bolt of fabric from Tranquility in exchange. All manners of fabric are welcome as are all colors.

One of your friends, Party Poison, has approached me about making clothing for all of you. He's already paid in advance, so all you need to do is come over so I can take your measurements and talk to you about what you would like to have.

As am I. I enjoyed being queen and I would have been a good one, had Tommen simply listened to me, but no one was ever truly safe there. [and frankly, she was amused at the idea of Cersei Lannister calling any other woman a whore]

My time in the Faith's cells was unkind, but I learned many things, not the least of which to not put my trust in gods.

I think that we all can agree on. [ He nods ] They want us alive - that, we can trust. Nothing more than that, I think.

They want us alive and they want our protection from the Null. Should we leave them to their own devices, all would likely perish.

[bythewaves]

They do seem rather incapable. [ Maglor agrees ]

One would think they've never had to fight!

[roseofthetyrells]

Indeed. A poor showing from ones who style themselves as gods.

Perhaps they haven't? It would explain a great many things.

[bythewaves]

They must have done. [ Maglor points out ]

I cannot believe any race would simply sit and let themselves be slaughtered! But I think they are absolutely terrified, and very very bad at fighting.

Terrified of the Null, yes. I suppose I don't blame them for that; the Null are terrifying. But they can be killed, the same as any other being. I spent two weeks fighting them and lived to tell the tale.

We all have! But I think... I think they were so used to not having lack that they are unable to cope with the change.

That could easily be. It would explain a great many things.

[bythewaves]

It would, wouldn't it. The Ainur were the same, although we did not recognise it, until much, much later. But how do you explain necessity, to one who has never known lack? How do you explain desperation, to one who has always been strong? When the first break happens, the first reaction is always fear.

And in fear, many choose to strike out, not always caring where their blow lands, just that it does land.

Even so. I do pity our hosts. I would pity them more if we were not their captives, but I pity them, all the same.

Yes, being a captive tends to make one feel contentious. Had they offered a second chance, I would have accepted willingly. But I wasn't given a chance to make the choice.

[bythewaves]

Even so! There are many here, I think, who would have said yes! But they did not ask, and so must live with the consequences thereof.

Indeed! The consequences being our distrust, disdain, even resentment.

[bythewaves]

Foolish of them. [ he sighs ] Still! It could yet be rectified, but they seem unwilling to try.

[roseofthetyrells]

They do seem to be fools. [she shakes her head] And of course they're unwilling to try. They like to be called gods. Gods are usually infallible.

[bythewaves]

In all respects concerning their dealings with those not of themselves, aye. But you have the right of it, I think - the sheer arrogance in their naming speaks volumes.

[roseofthetyrells]

True, and their arrogance shows in their interactions with us. They condescend to us and that I cannot stand.

[bythewaves]

Sadly true.

[ He agrees with a sigh ]

I wish I knew what to do! Give me a war to fight, and a straightforward enemy and I know what to do, but this?

[roseofthetyrells]

I don't know. I was trained to politic and cajole since I was a small child but with these beings? They make it impossible.

At least this is a good place to end before I drop?

[bythewaves]

Even so. All we can do is endure, I guess.
