The city has moved around so much that getting concrete data is difficult but my scanning capabilities are at 79% and I'm beginning to get results from my efforts.

I have found the ninth god.

The parasite is at [x,y], twenty-four feet underground, beneath what you would call the Colosseum. It is kept in a small room underground, hollowed out from the earth. The body is circular, six feet in diameter, and is constantly moving.

Fragments of its body are also on the ocean floor, within a four hundred mile radius. Two complete pieces, one in multiple pieces. Fragments do not have the same energy signature as the parasite but is composed of the same material which has not been located anywhere else in this city or on the surface of this planet.

Good. They might be easier to handle now that you know what they are. You be careful out there, though. You having them means you're as vulnerable to the gods' influence as the rest of us, for better or for worse.

The energy composition is the same as the other parasites. It's the same sort of reading that the Null would trace when they attempt to locate a colony to destroy it.

I wasn't sure at first because it was muted... presumably due to being buried so deeply and operating with slightly lower amplitude, but the more I focused my search the more I found.

The being itself is not- well. The being itself is composed of energy. It is whole and solely resides under the city. The shape of it is what's different. It's as if...

It's like a body. You can speak to me over the network. If your arm was somewhere else, it is not you. It cannot speak to me. It is your arm. My former chassis is not myself, but I can reattach to it and control it.

It's not that the energy is different. The energy being is also a shape and the shape has the same materials as the pieces without energy on the ocean floor.
