The city has moved around so much that getting concrete data is difficult but my scanning capabilities are at 79% and I'm beginning to get results from my efforts.

I have found the ninth god.

The parasite is at [x,y], twenty-four feet underground, beneath what you would call the Colosseum. It is kept in a small room underground, hollowed out from the earth. The body is circular, six feet in diameter, and is constantly moving.

Fragments of its body are also on the ocean floor, within a four hundred mile radius. Two complete pieces, one in multiple pieces. Fragments do not have the same energy signature as the parasite but is composed of the same material which has not been located anywhere else in this city or on the surface of this planet.

[Name] hadn't considered that.

There is no documentation among the Null of the object called the Door, save for the conversations with your kind.

It's not that the energy is different. The energy being is also a shape and the shape has the same materials as the pieces without energy on the ocean floor.

The Null had never heard of the Door before? They didn't seem too surprised by the idea of a device that could cause bring in people from other worlds, though I guess it would've been hard to tell.

The concept of the Door predates both the Null's existence and the parasite's verbal history. Because the parasites were inept at recording historical events, virtually nothing is known about the inception of their species or the beginning of their cohabitation with their former hosts.

So if your scan was able to find the Door, does it basically just detect energy signatures, or can you scan for lots of different things?

[Name] can scan for many different things! Unfortunately, my scanning capabilities are not at 100% so there is room for error.

Not with materials we currently possess. I could re-purpose the chassis of a dead Null, but we got rid of most of those when the parasites moved the city and the remaining pieces available to me are not sufficient.
