All right, folks. We saw what the Null you guys are hiding said - and hey, maybe not the best idea, you know? They're kind of trying to murder us all. But as it turns out, at least some of what it said is accurate. But that doesn't mean it all is, and believe me, the Null are more than smart enough to use half-truths to mess with you - to mess with all of us.

So we're pretty divided on this, to say the least. A lot of us think it's stupid to listen to anything a Null said, since again, they're kind of trying to murder us all. But some of us are willing to try it, since you'd be on the line instead of us (not super nice, but hey) and then Hope pointed out that some of you are already trying to find ways to cross the waters and go searching.

Also probably not a great idea to do that on your own, but y'know, he's the one who'll have to resurrect you, not me.

Long story short, since our opinions are pretty divided, we figured we'd let you weigh in, and as I'm the most neutral, I get to listen.

Convince me that we should go search using the information the Null gave us, and we'll provide crafts for you to use. Or convince me it's a terrible idea, and we won't.

Man, I'm already tired just thinking about it. Not too long-winded, okay? Go.

and again that is a risk that people are willing to take no matter whether you agree with it or not. at the very least you could help make it easier and safer for those willing to follow up on this intel.

the fragments are apparently not of the same energy signature but the same material you guys are made of. the door is something much older and different from all of you, so it makes sense that it would give off an energy that the null wouldnt recognize right away, not unless they were looking for it. was not on board with this thing before, but sorrow seems to think that it might be worth looking into as it would benefit all of us.

Sorrow thinks that if they are what they're supposed to be, they'd be useful. But that's a big if, and a potentially dangerous one. We argued that one out already.

dangerous how? youre being awfully vague on what is basically a big "if" scenario.
everything we have ever done so far has been dangerous. sending rage and delight to investigate the null was dangerous. hope bringing back people who want you all dead is dangerous. fear opening the door was dangerous - and it brought you back to life.
sometimes you have to make decisions that are going to be dangerous.
survival is rarely achieved without peril.

Dangerous!

1) Getting there. This planet is not particularly safe, and crossing the oceans makes it even more so.
2) Coordinates might be wrong. You might get very, very lost.
3) Coordinates might lead to something else. You could all die.
4) Coordinates might lead the Null to us. Everybody dies.
5) Coordinates might lead to nothing. Less dangerous than just a waste of time, really.

There's a lot of ways this could go wrong.

aw tranquility, buddy, you really DO care!

as for your laundry list of concerns:

1) provide us with the equipment and getting there wont be much a problem. some of us have marine and navigation experience and know how to travel open waters, myself included.
2) confusion was able to give us the gps, right? gave us compasses to locate the temples for hope on the last planet, right? maybe convince her to help in that department and you wont have to worry about us getting our asses lost.
3) in case you havent noticed over the past few years, we're pretty damn resilient. we survived two null attacks. we're not like you or your hosts - many of us are combat ready and hard to kill even without needing hope to bring us back.
4 &5) now those are legitimate possibilities, but still ones that would be safer with your aid. better to waste our time than to do nothing and waste a perfectly good opportunity.

I care a ton, but I'm not going to bat for you with Confusion. We get along mostly because I don't try to make her do anything.

I'll keep all the other stuff in mind, though. Interesting arguments.

you wouldnt have to MAKE her. just ask her. nicely. if that even works. never know with her because shes a bitch to all of us, youd probably have better luck appealing the idea than we could.

hate to say it but even someone like love could play ball for a navigational system like they did for us back on the last planet. doesnt have to be anything complicated tho.
