You somehow managed to convince Tranquility that we should help you.

Here’s what we can do for you:

• I can make you boats.
  
• Hope can make food and water.
  
• Sorrow can make maps and instructions—follow them to the letter unless you have a thing for pain and dying.
  
• Love can create compasses.
  
• Fear can create diving equipment.
  
• Rage can make sails for the boats—they’ll be better than anything you could possibly produce.
  
• Tranquility can create containers so you can bring the fragments back.

Our help is not free, though. You have to give us the power to make the equipment with. Before you start whining about how you hate us for forcing feelings on you—even though it’d be easier than this waste of time idea—you get to pick who to empower. Choose one of us, say our name out loud, and we’ll help you and long as you get us the emotion we need. Choose wisely and don’t complain later about hating the one of us you picked.

Don’t mess this up. If you do, your little adventure will probably go very badly, and you dying stresses Hope out a lot.

See, there you go with the whining. At what point did I say you had to feel your chosen patron's emotion? Go ahead if you want to, but you can give us more by causing it in others.

Whining is going a little far, I would say. Some of us don't appreciate having our emotions messed with so often, though.

So... you really don't intend to influence it this time? You'll leave it up to us to cause emotions in each other?

It's just that I know better than to fully trust all of you and your plans. I'm trying to make certain that you really do mean what you're saying.

All of you keep acting like we haven't been honest with you since the city was split. We have been. Not our fault you're too obsessed with bring suspicious to notice that, though I'm really not surprised. Some of you aligned with the Null and even now are trusting the one in thr city.

I can't say I'd go far enough to align with the Null. Quite the opposite, in fact. But if one seeks to redeem himse... itself... then that seems that it would be an all too specific case. It doesn't mean the others should ever be trusted as a whole.

I will never trust them. End of story.

Trust must be earned. If any individual earns it, so be it, but I wouldn't side with them as a collective.

I know all too well what it's like to be doubted. To be seen as a source of betrayal just waiting to happen. It's important to still remain cautious, of course... but perhaps giving him a chance is what's needed here. It doesn't mean we aren't keeping our guard up.
