So, uh, hey everyone. Julie here. [Wave!]

It looks like, um... Serah's gone, if you knew her, so that's something. But-- [She takes a breath, seemingly steeling herself against the news she just gave out. Serah was - is - her friend, and she'll miss her.]

But before she went, we were talking to Tranquility about planting some trees outside his temple. Looks like that's not the only place that could use it though, right? [The smile that comes to her face is small and crooked, a little awkward. She hadn't been to the other islands in a while, but when she did... People have been busy.]

I did some farming back home, but I don't think I can plant a whole forest by myself. Soooo... anyone want to start a project? Bet there's people here who can make seeds sprout by magic, right?

[She doesn't really want to get too much sympathy over Serah, so she brushes past that quickly. Her returning smile is real enough, but lacking just the slightest edge of warmth.]

I think the planting part is more important, anyway, right? They'll grow whether we help them out or not.

[ He knows Julie well enough to know she won't linger over that matter of missing Serah. He hopes she'll accept the sympathy that is genuinely offered. Having just lost his son and his eldest brother, he understands the kind of loss that Hadriel can inflict on a person. Friends, family, whatever. People are just gone, and there's not a thing you can do about it. ]

I agree with you. Get the seeds in the ground, nurture them a little, and they'll turn into trees.

Is Tranquility going to provide the seeds free of charge? Or is this a deal you're making with him? -- the usual fee is that you chill out some number of people and he gives you something for it.

Or are you going to just find the seeds in the natural environment?

[But she shrugs. If she doesn't like his terms, she'll turn him down. They can manage enough on their own.]

Have to see about that. Been here long enough to know what their 'fees' are.

Tranquility hasn't said what he would want for this? If you're going to ask him at all, find out if he'll accept chillout energy from a group of people in support of this project rather than just one person. I'd be happy to help on that, too. But if we can manage without the gods, that would be good, too.

[ And then he thinks of something. ]

Just before we came to these islands, some of us harvested a part of the Orchard in case it wasn't included in the move. Delmar very kindly let us store the fruit in the cellar under his bakery, for distribution to whoever needed it. We were giving it away at the beginning, but we may not have used it all up, since food appeared in the shops again pretty quickly after that. If there's still fruit in the cellar, there are seeds in the fruit. I can ask him or go there and find out.

[Said quite firmly, to make it clear she needs no advice on that front.]

And I can talk to Delmar. He's one of my best friends.

[ He nods, understanding that this is her project. Whether or not the gods are involved will be her decision. ]

Hopefully, there are enough seeds to be found. And enough magic to make them grow swiftly into fruit-bearing trees.

[ He sounds hopeful. The Hadriel residents are a talented and resourceful group, and he believes in Julie's ability to instigate and organize such an effort as this. Furthermore, she has always seemed to him the kind of person who would get her hands into the earth herself and for whom the plants would thrive. ]
