[In the past, Nick has usually left this kind of information either to be shared by someone else, or found out gradually out of respect for those who've gone missing; however, given who it is who vanished this time, his position within the Guard, and his time within and dedication to the city, he figures he'd best say something. Henry deserves that.]
For those who knew him, Henry Percy is gone.
[A small pause. For all they knew, he could be back in a week, in a month, in a year... or not at all.]
Guardsmen, you're reporting to me for now.
[And a quiet sigh. He's not sure how he feels about that weight on his shoulders. Hell, he wasn't sure when he was appointed to the co-head of the organization. Guess he'd better figure it out now.]
That's all.

[Sigh. Forgive him, he's had a rough day.]
For now, we'll keep going the way we have been, see if we can't get more hands to help out. We'll have to see what trouble these fragments bring us, too.
[Because no doubt they will.]

Yes. . . we can continue the way we have been. We can slay whatever monsters threaten the populace, and we can kill the Null if they return. And we can keep working towards solutions for the problems we don't yet know how to solve.
Meanwhile, we have a plan for the Door fragments; we give them to Alphys and Kate to analyze. I don't know how pleased the gods are going to be if we delay in handing them over, but I think we have a one-shot chance to get some new and vital information. It's a risk, of course. Everything we do in Hadriel is a risk.

[Everything in Hadriel is indeed a risk, even just living here. After all, someone who is there one day may be gone the next, or turned against you by the latest emotional manipulation. Or hell, they might not even remember who they are because Confusion felt like stirring up trouble. There is just no telling sometimes.]
At least we have something to go on once everyone gets back. For now, just be careful out there. I'd rather not lose anyone else.
