(For her efforts in the Colosseum, Sansa is sporting a nice purple bruise on her cheek and a split lip. But you should see the other guy...er...Ogre.)

I am, as ever, impressed by the creative manner in which Hadriel welcomes new residents. (Her mannerisms and voice are a bit stiff, suggesting she probably feels otherwise.) Has anyone been keeping a log of the monsters we've encountered? I don't know what purpose it would serve beyond helping us be more prepared should we encounter them a second time.

(She winces and reaches down to hold one of her sides.)

My memory has never failed me, but I'm not an artist. If pictures could be drawn depicting the beasts then we need not know their names specifically.

(While her pet names for some of the foes are colorful and sometimes amusing, a picture is worth - Well, you get it.)

Of course if this is a project that has already been undertaken, ignore what I said and instead, direct me to the information gathered, please?

I appreciate this very much, Doctor. (Technology is rough when you are from a Medieval world.) The Ogres. I think that's what those were? I fought one alongside another woman. It was large, muscular and horned. I don't know about the intelligence of the species as a whole, but that one was easily distracted. He wasn't very bright.

Oh, yeah, I'm definitely aware of the ogres.

[He wishes he wasn't, but alas, he has a bestiary to maintain. These are his least favorite monster to date.]

They're disgusting, and the rain didn't help. I've got a lot of nasty specimens to sort through before they're ready to debut on the list, but hey, that info helps. I didn't exactly spend a lot of time with them while they were alive, you know?

I don't blame you for keeping your distance. (She had only been there to search for family or friends.) I wish I could sit at home and leave the monsters to the warriors, but -

Good luck. I suggest you speak to Lady Tinya too if you want a deeper perspective. She killed at least one of them.

(Ogres are disgusting and violent and, thanks to Tinya, she survived the one she encountered.)

[Julie often thinks she should help out when the Door opens, but she's no fighter. Give her a gun, and she can fire rounds all day long, but she'd be toast the moment anything got too close to her.]

(Sansa has made herself learn. Arya has managed it; she likes to think she can too. Of course she usually falls far short of the mark.)

An Ogre. They are ferocious beasts without any concept of mercy.

I can tell you more about this particular breed, actually. They're from my world, sorry to say.

[ Ogres are pretty bad, but not the worst that Thedas has to offer. ]

I am the one who is sorry for you, my lady! They are horrible beasts. Were you injured?

(She looks exceptionally empathetic. It's rather like having a hoard of Gregor Cleganes!)

No, thankfully. I've grown used to, ah - dispatching them. [ Not easily, but. Eventually. ] I hope you weren't injured, either?

I was struck, but my bruises will heal. (Her falling probably saved her from worse, actually.) Lady Tinya saved both our lives with her skill.

How best should they be dispatched?

[ He's torn between pride in her and fear for her. Pride wins out, but he still wants to know what happened. ]

You beat up some ugly critter?

I do my best to visit the Colosseum each time there are new arrivals.

(She can't stay at home if there are family members suffering. She will never be a warrior, but she can be brave.)

Lady Tinya did it for me. I was merely knocked about.

Just to wrap this one! He loves Sansa.

I am proud of you, that you have taken on this task -- welcoming the new arrivals.

[ She is brave indeed! And there are many definitions of a warrior. Curufin thinks she qualifies. ]

I'm glad you had Tinya with you. But remember, you can learn from every single combat experience, even if you never got to strike a blow. Turn it over in your mind, imagine where you were positioned and how the creature attacked, and how Tinya responded. Slow it all down to really slow motion! And then twist and turn those images in your mind, imagine what you might have done if you could have chosen whatever action your body and your sword could possibly perform. Run as many scenarios in your mind as you can imagine. You can even practice them on your own, or with a sparring partner and somebody else to pretend to be the monster.

And don't worry, everybody gets bruises and cuts while fighting. Go and see a healer, if you think you need to. They could at least give you some soothing balm for your lip.
