So, what's up guys??? How's it hanging?


My name's Ruby Rose! I just got here recently and I noticed that everyone's got really cool weapons???  I fight monsters with a scythe that I made myself. 

I have a bit of a favor to ask. Can you tell me what kind of fighting style you use? 

Do you beat up monsters with a stick?
Or make flames with a magic wand? 

Tell me please!! I'm dying to know!! TYVM!!

You've seen a lot of things but I dunno about those ones.

I had not! Thank you for showing me. Where I am from we did not have these phones you see, so I have never learnt to use them.

What did you use to communicate with each other then? Just hand written notes?

Mostly, yes. My Arafinwean cousins had great strength of the mind, but even they could only reach so far, and mostly it was unsafe to do so. We used father's palantiri sometimes, as they were more secure, but there were only ever so many of them, and once the Siege was broken and our strongholds taken, it was risky to use them, when you weren't sure who might have another.

Writing notes down is cool too. You can even add drawings!

The word means 'far seer', but in the Common you would probably call them 'Seeing Stones'. They were a means for communication over distances - a little like these phones, but not quite. Anyone could use them, theoretically, but you did need to have a good deal of mental discipline, or they could veer wildly out of your control. They by preference spoke to each other, which is why it was risky if you didn't know who had the others, but unlike these phones, you could also use them for surveillance, although again, you needed to have the mental discipline necessary to get them to do what you wanted.

I didn't know you could draw on these! How fascinating.

When you put it that way I can follow along easier. Sorry I've never heard of those words before. I got confused, but I'm learning!!!!

I don't know if my hands are up to such a weapon, but I can try, if you think you want to teach.
