[There are probably a lot more important things going on...but the amount of stress and tension that said important things seem to be evoking is the exact reason Sal decides to make a post sharing his self inflicted predicament instead of sitting around trying to come up with something himself. He mostly just wants to talk — it doesn't matter if he doesn't find any information or help, it's just...for lack of a better word, a "mask".

Speaking of masks, there's now one masked and pig-tailed teenager peering into the phone as he makes sure it's working, sitting back when he thinks he has it. He's not used to using phones or devices this fancy. He doesn't even have a cell phone of his own back home.]

Has anyone ever like...built a birdhouse before out of something that wasn't blocks of wood? A two story birdhouse. With a couple of rooms, decent space. Uh, nothing too crazy and extravagant, obviously. But something still totally cool. Because I kind of want to do that.

「Oh... oh, no. He should know this, shouldn't he? Atem stares at the other for a moment, his eyes going along his face, his mask and those eyes behind it, trying to find anything familiar about him. He swallows dryly before forcing a smirk.」

「How long until he is sure this isn't a thing from the gods or the Door acting up on him? There isn't much he can really do other than try not to let it get him.」

[Huh. Maybe he just has a really bad memory? Sal won't fault him for it either way.

Don't worry about it. I forget things all the time. And there's been a lot going on around here — sometimes the stress and excitement can make your brain act a little funny, huh?

It's Sal! My friends call me Sally Face. [Which is also incidentally his ID on the network.] Atem, right? We only met once, so like I said don't worry about it.

「Atem, right? And that's all what it takes for Atem to give Sal a genuine smile. It's amazing that after so long he still loves the sound of his own name rolling off people's tongues. A little unfair and maybe selfish, given that he forgot about Sal but having forgotten about himself for so long seemed to justify it.」

Well, like I said he's a butterfly-like creature called a Teez. He can carry things, find things, uh...he's not from my world or this one so I don't know all that much about him. I'm just learning by spending time with him. He's super friendly.

「He can't say he's seen many butterflies around.」

Kinda! It's more like...a really good friend of mine I met here gave him to me. Tyki is his name...he was worried I didn't really have a way to defend myself. Which like, I'm 5 ft nothing and built like a twig so I guess that's understandable. He's a good person.
