[Pratt is sitting on the lower bunk of his tiny-house, part of his machine gun visible to the side and a wood plank wall behind him. He's wearing his deputy outfit again, his hair in neat braids thanks to Kettara.]

Before this whole talk of moving I was starting to set up a target range because I'm getting rusty. Figured since we have a lot of people who are experienced with firearms, arrows, knives, whatever, that I'd set it up so anyone can use it.

I've made a few spinner targets and I found a few wooden target dummies near the Colosseum but they're in rough shape so they need some clean up. I was working on a skeet shooter, but my plan to use a motor from a moped didn't work since they're electric and full of pointless plastic crap instead of useful gearbelts.

[He shakes his head, frowning at broadcasting his failure to everyone. He hadn't meant to say that.]

That's not the point.

Since we're apparently being shuffled to the next livestock pasture for us, I'm going to hold off setting it up until we're there.

What else would you guys like? Anyone need something to stand up to a crossbow? Or more intricate for throwing stars? And this shouldn't be a problem here, but I'm preemptively letting you know that there's no flamethrowers allowed at my range.

[He narrows his eyes at the screen before shutting off the feed. He definitely looks like he's adding that caveat because he's encountered that problem before.]

Depends on if we move to the jungle or the ice planet.

In the Jungle wherever there's a good clearing with enough yardage to give the snipers something decent to aim for. For the ice one... Depends on the wind situation. And if we're all going to get frostbite on our trigger fingers.

So you're waiting to finish until after the move?

That's the plan. I'm gonna make some more targets and see if i can take them with me. I don't know how this whole move thing is going to work.

Have any requests?

Ever thought about expanding beyond just a range? Maybe a training ground with obstacles?

I could set up trials. There's quite a few people here with a skill level high enough to pass them.

[ He honestly hadn't thought about it because most people don't want to willingly do those. ]

No matter where we go that'll end up being a challenge against the elements too.

[Carolina is strange like that... And she would kick Tucker and Epsilon's ass in to doing them.]

Practice does make perfect, so to speak.

That's why we train, so we can react without thinking.

[He says that dully, like he's reciting something from memory. Shaking his head he snaps out of it.]

I'll see if I can get something set up that'll be beneficial to the location. I'm sure there'll be some stupid monster we need to defend ourselves from.

Likely, although you do have to wonder if they're going to be confined in the area of the Colosseum again.

You think they'll move the whole Colosseum with us?

I guess I didn't consider them literally teleporting all the buildings to a new place.

Everything moved when it went from the desert area to these islands.

[So she would assume, but you know what they say about assuming...]

That's kind of a relief. It means all the holes I've dug and trees I've planted to start up the orchard again weren't for nothing.

They should be fine, although I won't guarantee anything in this place.

Anything's better than us having to physically lug all our stuff to a new place. I'm not seeing them giving us a bunch of U-Hauls or anything.

[He's not leaving without his stockpile of canned goods.]

Lurch is better than a caravan of us dragging a shit ton of boxes.

Gonna be sad to lose my ocean view. Even though there was the storm, and flooding, and losing part of my roof, the sound of the ocean is real soothing.

The buzzing of mosquitoes or the howling wind of the tundra.

Hey. Could be a planet of lava.

Don't give them ideas. That'll be next. We can choose between oceans of lava and rocks, or somewhere that hails glass shards.

Are we talking non-stop hailing of glass shards?

When it stops hailing glass the ground oozes sulfur.

They'll think up something real terrible.
