I'm not sure, but I've been told to start in the lab. [ She waves off his apology, saying quickly: ] It's nothing to worry about. I just want to be able to continue fighting, when needed.

[ Plus, it's more than a little distressing to be down a limb, and she isn't sure how to deal with it quite yet. ]

[ DiMA turns at the tentative greeting, recognizing the voice as that of the woman he's meant to meet. He lifts a skeletal metal hand and offers her a smile. ]

Cecily is just fine, thanks. [ She shakes his hand, noting that it is, in fact, metal. ] Thank you for meeting with me. I hope it wasn't too much of an inconvenience.

[ DiMA's smile broadens -- he's not used to people taking him up on a shake, but the organics here have been far more welcoming than he's accustomed to and this woman has good manners, obviously. ]

So, the arm was...taken by magic, and I'd love to have some way to at least fight with some practicality, because I work with the Guard, and...you can only do so much with a dagger and one hand. At least, I can only do so much.

I understand. I asked Dr Alphys to set aside some parts and materials for me, I'd like to take some measurements today as well so I can start to draft a prototype. It would also be helpful if you've seen a physician recently, to know what remains to tether a prosthetic to.
