2.10/ audio/ it's a rainy day
( There's a soft clearing of the throat before this post starts, as though the poster doesn't particularly enjoy doing this. But— )
Owe Hope some energy.
Need at least three people to tell me what brings them hope.
( This is, of course, all delivered in the most enthusiastic sounding tone you've ever heard.
... Kidding. It's about as dry as the desert they were in before this place. Monotone, flat and rough around the edges, no attempts made to sign off or offer anything more than that as she finishes the post. )

My dad, he gave it to me as an early birthday present. Our lives were shit, we barely had the money to scrape by, but he saved up... He saved up so much to get me this stupid vest. He was kidnapped that day and I went through hell and back in this vest to save him.
Every time I wear it, it... [ Her voice gets tight but, ugh, nope. She ignores her own discomfort and continues. ] It gives me hope that I can continue to handle whatever the fuck is thrown at me. It, uh, it gives me hope I'll see him again one day. [ And so she wears it every. single. day. Sometimes it's covered with a hoodie but it's always present. ]

It's done now. And she's healthy again. And this price, all things said, isn't too bad. Certainly better than what Love asks, uh, ever.
But all of that said, it's Sharon's answer which tugs at a deep-down part of Kate's heart, brings forward thoughts of a soft yellow coat tucked away in the clinic back home, of a thousand small pieces of her family and friends littered around her small apartment. )
I— ( Hm. Maybe there's something she needs to say for Sharon volunteering to do this. ) Thanks, Sharon.
( And, after a pause that almost seems too long: )
Got a few things like that at home, too.

Want me to be perky 'bout it?
( Judging by that same, flat tone, Kate probably... doesn't. Do. Chipper or perky. )

Not really. It took a year for Kate to return home and she got dragged back soon after. )
Got no control over that.

The gods can be frustratingly vague with their requests. )
Your guess is as good as mine. ( Though Kate would hazard hers towards no, they want a fucking classroom presentation on the shit. ) All 'e said were "talk about what brings them hope".

Recently, getting to see an old friend thanks to The Door flubbing up gave me a lot of hope that I'll eventually see all my old pack again.

( Which is true. The gods tend to keep their requests short and to the point, in her experience. )
S'posed to feel th' emotion, I think.
( Which is another vague thing which annoys Kate. How the hell are you supposed to quantify something like that? )

[Yusuke has a ready-made answer: he's had plenty of time to think about it, what with having someone around like Komaeda for company.]
