[Were it up to Oscar, the announcement would be made sooner rather than later, but Mr. Fingon's decision is logical. Oscar also knows that if there is a fire emergency between that time and now, non-affiliated volunteers will step forward to aid them as before.]

And thank you. I lack my cousin's skill with machines, I'm sorry to say, but I hope I will not be too poor a student.

Unfortunately not. Perhaps it was his wish that the remaining members nominate a new leader.

So far, the only one to volunteer for the position is his cousin, Mr. Fingon Fingolfinion.

If he wants to run the group, more power to him, I guess. Curious as to why you don't want to, though.

It would also seem that he has come forward out of a sense of obligation. He has stated that he will assume Mr. Curufin's duties if there are no other candidates.

There have been no objections to his promotion as yet.

I will support him and the rest of the brigade to the best of my abilities. Although I can't help but think a few fires in this place would be welcome.
