[ The recording opens with Donut standing in front of his bed that's currently covered in an ocean of flower petals. Beside him stands a decorated bike that holds a few bouquets. ]

Hey guys! Private Donut here from the popular Bluehaus with another friendly PSA. 

As you all know, it's February and that means love is in the air! For those of you unfamiliar with Earth lingo, this is the month we celebrate a little thing called Valentine's Day! It's a day when a guy in a diaper named Cupid hits you with an arrow and BAM! Instant love at first sight! Isn't it great?! 

[ He vibrates with giddy delight. ]

Well! I've been hard at work collecting all sorts of seeds in anticipation and now it's time for all of them to bloom! As your friendly neighborhood Flower God, I'll be making fresh bouquets for anyone who wants them! And this month only [ he throws his hands out to show off the bike - TADA! ] - 
I'll be making home deliveries!

You just tell me what you'd like and [he starts reciting the postal service motto ] neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night stays this Flower God from swift delivery! I got all sorts of bouquets for all tastes! There's your friendship ones, your first date ones, pure love, wild love, going steady, and all sorts of other ones for every occasion! 

So... [ Here he rocks back on his heels, his hands behind his back. ] I was thinking, if any of you have a little time to spare next month, maybe you can help me set-up a real flower shop and help me move-in upstairs? You know what they say, it takes a village. 

[ He keeps rocking back and forth on his heels, buzzing with so many vibrant emotions they spill over and behind him the larkspur flowers start to bloom. Reds and blues. Purples. Whites. A whole rainbow of colors come to life. ]

Either way, I love Valentine's Day, so I'd do this for free! [ He smiles before remembering - ] I'll be accepting orders all month! 

[ He waves at the recording. ]

[Which... would explain the smell.]

[ He rolls around in his bed of petals giggling to himself before stopping on his back and lifting the recording up so he can see her from his comfy position ]

Was it a surprise?! I got you, didn't I?!

[ A beaming smile. ]

I've been working on it for weeks right under all your noses!

[ He sounds so proud of himself. ]

[uptightness]

[Considering she doesn't snoop in other people's bedrooms...]

And where exactly are you setting up shop?

[glazedonutholes]

[ He spreads one arm out to encompass the room. ]

Right here, of course!

[uptightness]

[...]

Don't you want somewhere bigger?

[glazedonutholes]

Well, that's what the flower shop's for!

But, I gotta work hard now to dream big!

[uptightness]

Pretty sure there's plenty of free houses, that cost nothing.

[Work at one place. Residence at the other. Y/Y.]

Everyone knows that if you want to find your one true love you gotta go with an AU and what's more classic than a Flower Shop AU? Well, not a lot of tropes that for sure!

Besides! I'm perfect for a Flower Shop AU! I gotta take the chance! You know what they say! True love waits for no one!

[uptightness]

I have no idea what you're talking about.

[Really, she doesn't. How does that keep him from setting up shop at a different place?]

You know, alternative universe. Where the cute guy works at a flower shop and one day he meets his one true love. They dance around each other for a bit but in the end, their souls just know each other and one day he can't stop themselves and one thing leads to another and you've got your happily ever after~

[uptightness]

[That still doesn't-]

All the more reason to find another place to set up your shop in another location.

[glazedonutholes]

[ He laughs, now he gets it. ]

Oh, that. Don't worry. I'll be out of your hair in a month. I'm just angling to get some muscle for the big move, if you know what I mean. [ He winks. ]

[uptightness]

[Sometimes it is like pulling teeth.]

No offence, but why didn't you just find a shop to run your business in first, and start doing your flower thing there?

[glazedonutholes]

Well, I wasn't going to have time to move in before the big Holiday hit and I can't just leave people to fend for themselves during this month of love! People deserve to be happy, so I figured I'd ride the wave here this month and move out next month. Don't worry, it's only 28 days. Unless it's a leap year then it'd be 29.

[uptightness]

[So Donut being Donut.]

When you're ready, I can help you move things.

[glazedonutholes]

Really?! You'd do that for me?!

[uptightness]

[Is there more to this that Carolina's not understanding? Because it seems fairly straightforward.]

[ And he's running down the hall straight for her room for a big old hug! ]

[Oh look, she's cleaning her gun, the pieces spread out across her bed, when she hears the thud thud thud of feet coming running, and- she really needs to invest in a lock, doesn't she?]

You really don't need- [That split second between debating to chuck a gun piece at his forehead or just accepting the hug, because let's be honest, he's hard to stop- and she doesn't want to damage her gun.] You break anything, and I'm shoving it somewhere that the sun doesn't shine, Donut.

[glazedonutholes]

[ He throws open the door and there she is right where he thought she'd be doing exactly as expected, but none of that matters. He's just happy to find her because he's diving in for that hug all mushy and sweet as he moves in to wrap his hands around her, laying his cheek on her shoulder. ]

You're the best, Carolina.

[uptightness]

[As mushy as he is, she's not. After all, she's more or less just graduated from the occasional shoulder pat to a rare hug now and then under certain circumstances. Which is why she is leaning away from him, lips slightly pursed, and she's going to count to ten before she takes further action.]

It's what friends do. Help each other out.

[May it be that she is going to regret those words...?]

[glazedonutholes]

[ He's going to hold on a bit longer just under those ten seconds, getting one last squeeze in before pulling away and plopping himself on her bed. He sits with his hands together in front of his lap, looking up at her with a smile. ]

You're right. That is what friends do. I can't just accept your help without offering mine in return~

I can help you with cleaning your guns. Sarge always had us clean our gear and then Grif's gear on account that he always ducked out of it and it was somehow always greasy.

[uptightness]

[She straightens her shirt a little, before turning to arch an eyebrow in his direction. It's not that she doesn't trust him in general, but ya, it's that she doesn't really trust anyone with her weapons.]

That's- okay. Shouldn't you be working on more flowers and stuff?

[glazedonutholes]

[ He stays put but nods in acknowledgement. ]

I can work through the night. You know what they say - busy hands are happy hands. [ He looks down at the weapons. ] Is that why you clean them so often?
