[ Lady Maria hasn't been here that long and already the Gods are toying with her, testing their powers on her. She's not impressed, really, but she holds her irritation for them well. ]

The Great Ones here, do they often brand their subjects so freely?

[ She looks at the new tattoo engraved onto her wrist, the camera only showing the last letter due to the placement of it under her sleeve. It's the letter A. ]

They free me from the nightmare, gift me such devices as this one and brand me like cattle. Why? What can it mean? Do I not have enough insight to truly understand? Or perhaps this is simply a form of contact with me? Am I the only one or have others been blessed in such a way too?

[ You'll have to forgive her, she's used to communication with 'Gods' through something called Caryll Runes or strange sounds like splashing water. She's not used to this kind of direct contact at all. ]

I am not used to being the one being tested on. Rather, I am used to tending to them. This might take some time to get used to. How did you fare, when you first found yourself in this situation?

Inking of the skin? Such a strange notion. I only know of it when it's a brand by searing hot iron or marking of belonging to house or person.
