sketchy across the board about all the shit that's been happening with the null and the hosts
and i think maybe the whole invasion last thing is sticking with everyone, along with those fucked up experiments
or maybe that's just me

my point is, i know a few of us are willing to teach magic and self defense and stuff like that, but most of us have been offering it randomly on the network
there's nothing organized, as far as i know
other than lance's directory, but i'm thinking something a little more dojo-y
so i'm thinking to make everyone feel safer, maybe you can all officially offer your services here
and set up some kind of official meet up or class time, if enough people are into it
oh, but if you're going to charge or demand favors in exchange or whatever, get out of here with that crap
no extorting people who are scared and/or looking to protect the city
that's lame

long story short, me and harlan are willing to teach people magic
if anyone else wants to play mr. miyagi or the karate kid, let's hear it

If you need a place to hold classes, the Guard HQ has a sizable training area out back. Got some targets and everything.

We sometimes use it for combat training, either for our people or anyone else interested, but there's nothing on a regular schedule at the moment. We've got some practice weapons stocked here that you can use, too.

[Nick has never been much of a combat drills guy, but Henry sure was into them.]

[ a lot of this stuff goes straight over bucky's head, zooming past then whirling back around to taunt him at how little of this world makes a lick of sense to him.

but 'teach' 'learn' 'magic' and 'feel safer', those all seem straightforward enough.

he fiddles with his phone (that's still hard to accept as a phone - it seems to be nothing like one) to try and pull up the little keyboard he was shown one time but quickly realizes - he should have probably written those instructions down on paper because he cannot for the life of him remember how to get there. so instead, he makes a call, because dammit that's what phones are supposed to be for!

it is, unfortunately, a video call, that shows nothing but darkness as the camera is pressed against his ear, along with the rest of the phone ]
