Have you ever been in love?

(This is asked late one night and it might seem frivolous with the current concerns hovering over the populace of Hadriel. Yet Sansa believes love is important no matter how long someone lives - or where they are imprisoned. Besides, she had a taste of love recently and it's a frightening - and exhilarating - change of scenery for her.)

Can it last?

That could be complicated if your boyfriend arrived. I think, it I were him, I would understand eventually.

I was given a taste of love last month and it frightens me.

I know the feeling.
Love is frightening.
You're putting yourself out there, putting your heart in another person's hands.
But if you choose right, the rewards are incredible.

I've yet to choose right and I'd rather not cause her grief accidentally.

I'm sure you don't.
But if you love someone, you have to trust them, too.
Trust that they'll tell you what makes them happy, what makes them sad.

Imagining a relationship like that reminds me of one of my stories. I'm sure it's possible, but I've never experienced it.

I will try to believe in the possibility if nothing else. But this time, I will not be forced into a marriage nor will I enter it with my eyes closed.

Then it's a good thing he's gone. Some people, nobody would miss.
