So everything has sucked recently. Back home in Montana, when shit got rough we'd always get together and have a big bonfire. Get drunk, make s'mores, all that stuff. It didn't make things better but at least you forgot about it for a little while.

Worth a try right?

I've got some graham crackers, chocolate, and other things for roasting. No marshmallows though so if anyone wants to come through in the clutch it would be appreciated.

I'm lighting this up tonight at dusk, so if you want in, be there. I've only got so much to burn and it might not last more than an hour or two.

Wow. Jealousy does some fucked up stuff to people. I'm used to ex's getting in fights and trashing each others apartments. Not .. that.

When it comes to being hateful, Cersei Lannister was always an overachiever.

It is. There's a saying where I'm from, "when you play the game of thrones, you win or you die." [a rueful smile] In my case, I won, then I died.

So the only way to really win is not to play? I guess at least you won for a little while?

Though.. that still sucks. Yeah, I got nothing.

That is indeed the only way to win. Had I more sense than ambition, I'd have stayed in Highgarden and wed to the heir of some great House or another. [a slightly hysterical giggle] Perhaps they'd have wed me to Robb Stark?

[thoughtfully] But . . . no. Had I it to do over, I would have made the same choices. For they brought me here. As much as I despise the so-called gods, they gave me a second chance and I found a love, one who valued me for me, not for my name or for what my gold could purchase. I'd have never learned to--to know myself the way I do now. And I like that self. More than I did the one who wore the crown in King's Landing.

I imagine the monarchy comes with a lot of restrictions and rules and a lack of freedom even though you're the one in power. Like you can't go outside in your sweatpants to grab snacks at 2 am because what would the commoners think?

So yeah, I can see that being here is kinda awesome then. And you found someone - which is pretty damn rare from what I've seen.

That would be very nice, if fewer people were miserable. It would be even better if nobody was miserable, but that's likely unrealistic.

I don't think that'll ever happen. I mean it'd be great, don't get me wrong, but someone will always be upset about something.
