Video

[The video opens on a pile of wood, sticks, shrubbery, and chunks of what might have been siding, all piled into a very obvious pyramid surrounded by rocks.]

So everything has sucked recently. Back home in Montana, when shit got rough we'd always get together and have a big bonfire. Get drunk, make s'mores, all that stuff. It didn't make things better but at least you forgot about it for a little while.

Worth a try right?

[He sounds like he's honestly asking. He's trying really hard to be positive for once.]

I've got some graham crackers, chocolate, and other things for roasting. No marshmallows though so if anyone wants to come through in the clutch it would be appreciated.

I'm lighting this up tonight at dusk, so if you want in, be there. I've only got so much to burn and it might not last more than an hour or two.

((OOC: Feel free to use this like a log and make top levels and do action things. Go forth and get some bonfire mingling on!))

[she comes back to herself with his words] --oh! Oh. Yes. I suppose I do. My. . . I suppose your words for it would be mother-in-law. She destroyed a Sept filled with hundreds of people, all because her enemies were gathered there. Because I was there. My--my husband, the king, took his own life after seeing what happened.

And so, my mother-in-law seized the Iron Throne with the body of her son barely cold.

She always hated me, hated that her sons loved me more than they loved her, hated that my influence on them became greater than hers. She was determined to be rid of me and so she was.

Thank you for your sympathies. My hopes now lie with Daenerys Targaryen, that she can bring my mother-in-law to justice. And then, to her grave.

[or to Dany's dragons, Margaery isn't picky]

When it comes to being hateful, Cersei Lannister was always an overachiever.

It is. There's a saying where I'm from, "when you play the game of thrones, you win or you die." [a rueful smile] In my case, I won, then I died.

That is indeed the only way to win. Had I more sense than ambition, I'd have stayed in Highgarden and wed to the heir of some great House or another. [a slightly hysterical giggle] Perhaps they'd have wed me to Robb Stark?

[thoughtfully] But . . . no. Had I it to do over, I would have made the same choices. For they brought me here. As much as I despise the so-called gods, they gave me a second chance and I found a love, one who valued me for me, not for my name or for what my gold could purchase. I'd have never learned to--to know myself the way I do now. And I like that self. More than I did the one who wore the crown in King's Landing.

[she laughs] I wouldn't even be seen in sweatpants here. Much less back in King's Landing. No, I had to be perfectly put together at all times.

It is rare. Rare and wonderful. He asked me to go to his world when I leave this place and I shall.

I am not going to try. I'm going to succeed. I will accept nothing less.

[it's a precaution. she's heard that the Door mucks with one's memory, which she's trying to circumvent]

The entire multiverse could use more happy endings.

That would be very nice, if fewer people were miserable. It would be even better if nobody was miserable, but that's likely unrealistic.
