[ Dean's got his device set up so that this isn't all Blair Witch Project (thank god) but he's got a jar of his own, which he's... gently shaking around a couple of fireflies in. Not like Sid and his toys or anything here, considering they're still alive, but he's cheerfully giving them a rock and roll. ]

And then with the warm and fuzzies... I mean- C'mon. Never known a God to offer that up without some kinda hand being played.

But they're makin' me feel like a pocket full of sunshine. [ Okay that's a lie, and his snort gives it away. ] I dunno, not much of a noticeable difference. Don't exactly want to go frolicking through the streets, but can't say I feel like shit, either.

Maybe the effects increase with the amount of fireflies. You only have a few. That man you mentioned probably had dozens. I've seen people carrying jar fulls of them.

They might be emitting a kind of..."happy wave". As bad of a name that is for it. Hahaha

You mean like microwaves? [ Dean and science is a rotten combination. ] Stand too close, you end up fried? Could be- that'd make sense. Put 'em on full blast and you end up cooked with happiness.

And while getting high's fun and all, doing it 24/7 isn't exactly recommended.

Some people don't have any restraint and considering the place we're in, some people have probably been here longer and have been through terrible things to make them want to escape it through a high.

That or they're just abusing it.

Well, it shouldn't be long now before they all die off. Fireflies, I believe, have a season that they live through and I don't think it's very long. Hopefully not too many people will have to suffer through withdrawals.

And seeing as withdrawals always stir up the opposite effects, we might have a hell of a lot of unhappy people wandering around.
