[The phone screen snaps on to show Liquid pondering, as he often did. He has some questions.]
Private to the gods:
I was speaking with a fellow citizen earlier regarding this new café opening. Delight, I believe, is the god in charge of this? There is to be coffee served within this café correct? I wish to add tea to the list, since some of us prefer tea over coffee. I do especially. Since, we have this café, surely choice should be something all of us can enjoy together?
[He wants a cup of good ol' English brew please.]
To everyone else:
Has anyone ever dared escape from this place? Is there any form of escape and if so how? Also, do you actually die within this place? Since I have come under the impression that it is fairly easy to do so within this city. If you do die, do you ever come back? Do the gods resurrect you somehow and you get placed back into the city or is that it? You're dead and you get sent back to your own world, perhaps?
[He really wants to know before going off and dying, hoping he'd wake up back at Shadow Moses once more.]
Discussion would be welcome.

People have left. Not of their own volition.
Dying here is not without pain. You wake up in Hope's temple. You don't go home.

So, you die, wake up in the temple and carry on living your life out in the city? How many times can you repeat this process? Is the dying and coming back to life infinite?

[A rather morbid thought but one all the same.]

[ Cibo didn't exactly keep track of who did or did not stay dead... She almost bled out herself. ]
I'm sure there may be a few who didn't. But I doubt anyone would try to return to tell us how to get out.
no subject
[He nearly did. Got badly burnt but managed to stay alive.]
Those who died are probably back home enjoying themselves, perhaps?

And, um. It's a bar, not a cafe. Mostly alcohol and the like, there. But if you want something, I'm sure we can make arrangements?

I would like to ask if tea could be served on the menu. Since, not everyone favours coffee.

You'll have to explain more about tea to me. What it's made of, how it's served, that sort of thing.
this is going to be hilarious...
[He huffed and ran a hand through his hair.]
It's a drink made from a tea plant and the leaves are used. They're usually found in the far East of my world. China, India, places like that.
[He sighed. Would she even know where that was? Probably not.]
It's made from tea leaves and is brewed in something called a teapot.
haha i'm sure!
That sounds manageable. But you'd have to do something for me in return.

A fair exchange. What did you have in mind?
no subject
[But okay, she'll try.]
Hm. In return, I suppose you'll have to tell me about your happiest memory. Be detailed about it, I want to be able to feel as if I was there with you.
no subject
[What else could he do to show her what it looked like?]
My happiest memory? Hm. That might be a tough thing but I do have one. One when I was a child.
[He wanted to tell her when him and Mantis flew off the island leaving behind the parasites that had infected him during the time of Diamond Dogs. During the time of his father. Mantis had pulled the parasites from Liquid's body and freed him. Then, he took Liquid, or rather, Eli's hand and they flew off to freedom.]
