So I got a question.

[ He drags a hand down his face; he's tired and not entirely sure why he has to be the one to ask this. But apparently he has to be the one to ask this because he's worried and people should be informed.

But seriously, this is so far out of his comfort zone that we're in the Andromeda galaxy, so just... give him a second. He's not used to talking about this to the mass public. ]

How many of you've had something shitty from home show up here? [ .... Sigh. Okay. Too vague. Try again.

I mean monsters. Shit that does more than go bump in the night. Because if we all start bringing this kinda crap from where we come from, we're gonna have a problem and not nearly enough people are gonna know what to do with it. I mean, just counting what could come outta my own world-- [ grumble grumble. ]

So what I wanna know is if this's happened more than once. We already got enough here to keep track of, I just wanna know if anything that people know more about's followed you here.

Monsters into roadkill. That's-- okay, not entirely new to me, but still doesn't make it any less gross.

Tell me about it. I'd rather deal with ghouls or drowners but there's an entire possibilities that they might show up as well.

I've gotten general descriptions and abilities for the most frequent monsters I've come across in the tunnels. I'm working into figuring out weaknesses now with what I know from home.

Seriously, you'd take ghouls over gross? I don't know about that one what with the live flesh eating, but hey- maybe you've run into some better ones than I have. [ Because ghouls are still nasty but w/e w/e ]

You need any help with that, you let me know. Thought I was gonna have to go through writing the whole damn thing alone and ah- writing and I don't get along.

Ghouls and rotfiends are both what we refer to as necrophages so there is a lot of differences in their eating habits. Still, ghouls don't explode on death and cover you with rotten flesh and blood.

I don't much get along with it myself but I figure it handy to have around. It almost makes me miss all the heavy tomes about monsters from my youth that I was forced to study.

Oh, well yeah- okay, I can see where that wouldn't be a much fun. Ghouls I've seen're just big on the slicing and dicing, get pretty brutal.

You too, huh? I mean- I never had to study 'em but i've been through more lore than I have textbooks. Not that that's sayin' all that much, but I miss the monster manuals from home, too.

Mm, it's not much different for us but ghouls are an easier hunt. It's alghouls that cause the bigger problems more often than not.

[ still, she grins and sighs tiredly. ]

As I was told... physical training is all well and good but it's always good to have knowledge to give you the advantage. For an eleven-year-old, it wasn't a great excuse but those books have certainly helped.

Alghouls? What, they like- higher level ghouls?

Any kind of reading I had to do when I was eleven was just about as painful as it got. But I wouldn't trade all the crap i've learned over the years for anything.
