So I got a question.
[ He drags a hand down his face; he's tired and not entirely sure why he has to be the one to ask this. But apparently he has to be the one to ask this because he's worried and people should be informed.
But seriously, this is so far out of his comfort zone that we're in the Andromeda galaxy, so just... give him a second. He's not used to talking about this to the mass public. ]
How many of you've had something shitty from home show up here? [ .... Sigh. Okay. Too vague. Try again.
-- Once again, he does not like this. ] And by something I mean a creature, a being, some fucker you never wanted to see again. Not some person you've decided is the scum of the Earth- [ here's lookin' at you, Ruby. And yes, he means that rather purposefully ] - because i'm not up here to ask you about that chick you didn't like that one time who's made an entrance.
I mean monsters. Shit that does more than go bump in the night. Because if we all start bringing this kinda crap from where we come from, we're gonna have a problem and not nearly enough people are gonna know what to do with it. I mean, just counting what could come outta my own world-- [ grumble grumble. ]
So what I wanna know is if this's happened more than once. We already got enough here to keep track of, I just wanna know if anything that people know more about's followed you here.

Re: [Action]
It's been quite the week, hasn't it?
[Hakkai is good at small talk and starting conversations, but he has a feeling that Dean won't appreciate it as much. But he tries to strike up the conversation in a way that Dean can either follow the small talk or get right to the point.]
[Action]
Seeing as Dean doesn't have a clue as to how to start this particular conversation, he almost appreciates the intro. It's all too needed and Dean happily uses it to dive on in, leaning forward to brace himself against his knees. ]
That's one way to put it. Definitely had better nights sleep. And man, either you have some brutal dreams, or you've got something worth telling. [ Not that Dean is truly one to talk. ]
[Action]
[And that is the fact of the day!]
I'm sorry you had to get wrapped up in my nightmare. I know there's really no fault in it, but...I'd like to have the self-gratification of apologizing because I do feel some guilt for it.
[He smiles, but it's more sorrowful.]
[Action]
Don’t gotta apologize- dream’s a dream. Not like you actually hurt anyone.
[ Not gonna say the word ‘me’ here because he’s fairly sure that he’s including it in that anyway. But it’s not the thing he wants to know about, and so-- ]
How much of it was real?
[Action]
[He makes a motion with his hand, curling his fingers in and out signifying claws.]
Nothing else...hopefully. Well, most likely not.
[That sounds convincing.]
[Action]
[ Dean can't help it - he's already thinking back on Benny. And while those circumstances were dire, he still let a vampire into his life, let a vampire became something close to family (but not quite). He's capable of muddying his perfect black or white rules and he knows it, but it still makes him strain uncomfortably.
Truth be told, he hasn't killed Ruby here yet either, but that's a different story altogether. ]
Not the most convincing thing i've ever heard.
Re: [Action]
[He looks away and gathers himself. He doesn't usually explain this to people he doesn't know that well, but they saw each others' dreams and that was enough of a bonding experience, right?]
In my world, humans and demons used to coexist. Well, coexist for the most part. There was still discrimination against demons.
[Which he wasn't sure whether or not they really deserved after meeting that entire demon village.]
An experiment in the west started up and created a force called the minus wave. Think of it like a really dark aura. It made all of the demons become thirsty for human blood.
Those men you saw that were lying dead were my companions who I'm travelling with to stop the experiment.
There is always the possibility while going closers to the source of the minus wave, that I could possibly...
[He makes a vague gesture with his hand, hoping Dean knows what he's alluding to.]
These keep me looking human and keep my powers suppressed.
[He motions to his power limiter ear cuffs.]
[Action]
At the beginning, Benny had been a survival mechanism. A vampire to stand alongside of. But they'd become nearly brothers, and sometimes he has to remind himself that it was a worthwhile friendship. It meant something. He doesn't always have to assume. ]
Why even start the minus wave to begin with?
Re: [Action]
It's actually only an effect from the main experiment we have to stop. Someone us trying to resurrect a powerful demon king for whatever reason.
[He looks over to Dean.]
It's a bit complicated.
Do you have demons where you come from, Dean?
[Action]
[ The words are spoken mildly under his breath as he glances off towards his boots, but the question has him looking up again, brow furrowed. And while it's an easy answer, he still hesitates for a moment, thinking of the right way to respond, trying not to lunge into this with all the ferocity he always tries so hard to throw into everything. ]
Yeah, we do. More than our fair share. Or Hell's.
[Action]
He looks over to him.]
Your demons are from Hell then?
[Action]
[ Being mildly sarcastic is about the best he's got right now. But even so-- ] We don't get demons from anywhere else.
[Action]
The demons where I'm from in my world-- [Because where Hazel was from it was apparently different.] --all start off born on Earth. They can procreate with each other and even humans. Though procreation with humans is seen as a taboo.
Though, they're still hated with good reason right now.
Mm...but...well. Never mind. Again, it's rather complicated.
[Notice how he said they and not we.
It's probably his inner nerd coming out now, but he looks a little less awkward than before while he starts talking about it.]
[Action]
Besides- different worlds, while they aren't entirely a new thing to him, they're still enough so to keep him wanting to hear more.
Even if he earns himself another 'nevermind' in the process. ]
I'm starting to get that picture. Demons ain't so complicated where i'm from, guessin' unless you try to think too hard about it.
[Action]
It's actually starting to get a bit more divisive with the minus wave happening. There's a lot of "us" and "them" and "sides" being picked through the whole thing.
I'm not on either "side". I've met humans worse than some demons.
[He remembers that Kami-sama weirdo and that deranged Ukoku Sanzo. They were way worse than some demons.
He recalls what this meeting was more about.]
Ah. But, you wanted to know what kinds of monsters could follow us through the door.
Well, it's possible that berserk demons from our world could make it. I can handle them pretty easily. I've had plenty of practice.
[Meaning, he's killed way more than his share fair.]
[Action]
Hell, he can't even guarantee that he wouldn't have a bullet aimed at Hakkai were they home and maybe he should feel guilty about that. Maybe he should feel like a worse person. And he does, sort of, but he can't apologize for the thing that he is, the human he's trained to be. He can't, because if he starts, it's a thing that'll never be able to end. ]
Starting to get the feeling that most people around here have more monsters from back home than they wanna admit to. Probably because we never thought they'd be followin' us here.
Re: [Action]
[He doesn't mean to sound accusatory, but he feels like he's shared enough information and he would love for the conversation to not be on him. As fascinating as comparing two different worlds' demon is. Dean knows he is one now and that's enough.]
Is it just demons from your own world?
[Maybe the second question would soften the blow of his first one.]
[Action]
Refining the questions helps though, and he shakes his head a few times. ]
Not even close.
[Action]
What's an example?
[He was really curious.]
[Action]
[ He offers a weird kind of apologetic shrug. ] It's in the books back home and i've probably seen it at least once.
