[ When she's brought back through the door, it's in a small explosion of green. The Inquisitor lurches forward back into Hadriel, into the coliseum, her hand a mess of sparks, of arcing lightning, of heat and pain and danger. It's all stemming from her left palm, the green mass flaring up in a crackling clamor which Cecily adds to, crying out as she struggles to do something, anything, to keep it under control. ]

Stay back, it isn't safe-- [ She yells to what she hopes is a person seen out of the corner of her eye, and not an enemy of any kind (she also doesn't yet realize where she is). ]

[ Some time later, the battered Inquisitor appears over the network, not looking much different physically save for the obvious green light that makes its way into the picture, reflected in her dark eyes. Her expression is an attempt at concealing an agonizing pain, so her mouth is drawn into a tight, thin line, brow occasionally twitching downward. ]

I think it's settled... That is, I don't think it's expanding anymore. [ "And isn't going to kill me, yet." ] But, if there's anyone who has healing abilities, or... some medicine to dull the absurd amount of hurt it's doing, I really would like to speak with you. I'm considering just chopping off my hand, but I don't think the thing would go without a fight.

[ Cecily starts to move to end the call, but she glances downward and mutters: ]

It's still dangerous. I've got to do something to get the flare-ups under control, too. [ She then looks upward, exhausted, and adds: ] Don't come and investigate the mysterious lights, if you see them. Unless you like... I don't know, intense nerve pain. In that case, come over; we'll shake hands.

I can try. Solas would know better. [Never mind that he doesn't know where the mage is.]

I can make you foret it hurts, but then you won't know if it's still hurting you. Or someone else.

Solas isn't here. [ She says almost sharply, thinking of his vanishing, of the rumors that he was somewhere nearby during the events of the Exalted Council. ] He's not like to be here anytime soon. I need to deal with this now.

[ However difficult and extremely unpleasant. ]

I don't want to forget. [ She confirms, though Cole already knows. ] I'll... find a way. There was another who said he might be able to numb the pain. Once I've got that off my mind, I can see about lessening the range of the anchor's sparks.

I know. You need all of you. [Even if it hurts.]

I'm sorry.

Don't be. [ Cecily says quickly, flexing her fingers at her side, frowning at him. ] You've done enough-- more than enough. I could never ask for more. Especially since this is... something I've got to deal with. Solas, too, but not you.

[ She takes a stab at a half-smile, but it's strained. ]

Have I missed anything? [ The Inquisitor asks briskly. ] How long was I gone?

I don't know. I don't think it was too long.

Cullen missed you.

[ It's been a long two years. Where Cecily once might have been flustered by that, she now merely smiles, faint and sad, dipping her chin. ]

... He sent me messages when I went missing. It-- They were hard to hear.

[ She can only imagine the kind of night he had. ]

I'll find him soon. [ Cecily confirms, then glancing at Cole to ask: ] And you? Are you all right?

Yes. I'm alright. But you aren't.

No. [ She confirms, because lying to Cole is pointless. ] I'm not. But, I will be... sooner or later.

[ She hopes. She won't die permanently in Hadriel, which means that the "murder caves" are, at the moment, her best chance to live.

Cecily heaves a sigh, dipping her chin. ]

If it kills me, well... I survived a lot. [ The Inquisitor admits, raising her shoulders in a shrug. ] I've been very, very lucky. Maybe this just means my luck's run out.

[He certainly doesn't like how that sounds.]

If you say it, it comes true. I won't let you die.

You may not have a say in that. [ She says quietly, knowing that Cole is about the only person who could suss out the truth whether she offered it or not. ] You know that.

I won't let you. [He may not be sure how, but he's at least sure that he'll try.]

[ She can appreciate his insistence, at least, and knows that if there is anything that he can do, Cole will do it. ]

... Hope may be able to help, or... one of the others. [ As much as she loathes the idea. ] Or, someone else may have the magic to nullify it. There are people with powers here that we've not seen in Thedas.

Maybe. I could try to find one. If it would help.

You don't need to do that. [ She can't ask them to spend their time searching for aid that might not exist. ] I promise, I can find it on my own.

[ She'll try, at least. ]

Can you? [He can be a lot of places rather quickly, after all.] I can help.

I can try. [ But, it's stupid to turn away his help. ] ... If you really don't mind, then... thank you.

[ She may not have all the time she needs to find someone, after all. ]

I don't mind. I like to help. [That's obvious, though.] I want to help.

I know you do. [ He always tries to help everyone. It's just Cole's way.

Cecily hovers, considering, but then says: ] ... If you hear of anything, you know how to find me.

Yes. I'll find something.
