[ The room behind her is ensconced in darkness, and only her face and neck are visible, lit only by the cold light of her phone. She's clearly apprehensive, and uncertain, filled with new doubts, and worries. This is not a post she had ever thought she would have to make, but now, with Hope announcing the safety of the temples (safety that comes with a price, she believes), she has no real choice. She swallows, suddenly all nerves. ]

I know it's tempting, but... [ Is there any way to say this where people will listen? ] don't use the temples, don't hide in them. If you have to hide, then pick a building, find a room, and hunker down. When the Darkness comes, you might have to move, but... [ She licks her lips, expression pained for a moment before she shakes her head, as if giving up on something. ]

This is for the best.

[ ...Maybe. ]

You know what this Darkness is, then? [His voice is calm, almost eerily so. He has no reason to be anything else yet.]

Are you doing the thing you did when I broke your mirror?

[ Arya hides her fear through the cool mask of someone reverting back to their assassin training. ]

[Mello sounds tense, though he's doing his best to remain calm.]

[If she's speaking authoritatively, she must have some knowledge about what's going on.]

[ she's glad someone is calm because she's far from it. panic clings to her heart. ]

[ Damen does not know this woman, but he does not at all like the look on her face.

Or the content of her speech. ]

Sanctuary is not something that should be dismissed.

[He'll be feeling things later, but this is his default mode.]

And why is that?

Why shouldn't we go to the Temples? Do you know what's going on?

[This feels a whole lot like when he and Sam had posted to the network about the wendigos; if this is something from Sharon's world then maybe they should listen to her?]

...I don't want them to have control anymore. [ That would be a resounding yes. She wants people to understand more than anything. ]

You've seen this before, haven't you? Or something like it. You wouldn't bother saying what you did if you hadn't.

If you hide in their temples you'll just be giving them more power. [ But so few people seem to care about that, that they're just making these gods that cause pain, and suffering more powerful. ] And I know what it is because I did it.

[ There's no pride in that statement, no pleasure, or joy, but rather a sort of shame. She never wanted it to come to this, but she's tired, and something needed to be done. ]

You realize that just being in there forces you to feel what they want you to, that every time you go in there you just give them more ammunition? [ She's torn between annoyance (hello, these are facts of life please stop giving the gods more power thank you), and just this urge to force an understanding to occur. ] To me, that sounds like a good reason to avoid their shitty temples.

Because I don't understand it. [ She admits quietly. Look, it's still such a new thing to her, and even Alessa could never understand why she could do what she could do. ]

Normally I'd agree, but if there's something actually dangerous going on then giving Delight a bit of extra power sounds a whole lot better than being maimed.

[Chris' priorities skew very heavily to the side of 'don't get maimed'. Also she didn't answer his second question, so he'll just repeat it.]

[ Admittedly, Sharon wouldn't have said a single thing if Hope hadn't made an announcement. People don't need to know the hows, and the whys. She didn't want to deal with the questions, or the accusations, or face the fact that she might be in the wrong. ]

I have. I lived in it for... [ For years. She was there before she, as Sharon da Silva, ever even existed. She swallows. ] I caused it.

You seem to understand it well enough to advise people on what to do. [So he thinks you probably understand more than you claim to. The why is less important to him right now. And in general.]

Yes, okay? [ Sharon thought she'd been obvious, but clearly not. It's easy to see her post as something other than outright admittance to the whole situation. ] It's... It's not something I can explain, and it's probably not something you could ever come to understand.

Do you know how to stop it? I'm assuming this wasn't intentional. If you were causing this to happen with an objective of harming us, it wouldn't make sense to get on here and warn us about it.

[There's no judgment in his tone - surprised? This situation is a problem, and Mello is good at solving problems.]

[Okay. That confirms that, at least, and would explain why she seems shaken, even if he's not so impressed by that last comment; what is with people and the vague 'you can't comprehend ~the thing~' statements lately? He feels like he's been left out of the memo to make whatever you've dealt with before sound impossible to understand when really you can just sum up the gist of it pretty easily.

But he's definitely not going to leave things at that, because if she knows what this is and has dealt with it before he feels like there has to be more she can explain about it despite her words.]

Okay, well, what can we expect, then? We don't need like, a whole thesis on what it is or what causes it, but what the threat is would be a pretty great place to start.

And why not? What can you tell me about this?

I've spent a lot of time in this... reality back home. [ as a child, as a teen, as an adult. she may never escape from it, maybe doesn't deserve to. ] I know how to survive it, but I don't really understand it.

Like you would stop all the shit you've done to us if I asked?

[ this is what you deserve. ]

The gods force us to feel what they need in those places, and I, for one, am not a big fan of giving them more power. The less they have, the better off we are. [ if she could find a way to kill one of them here, she would take that opportunity without hesitation. any single one of them. ]

And this? [ she motions around her. this oppressiveness. ] There's not a lot I can tell you. There's fog, there's monsters, and when the darkness comes, it's safest inside.

[ just not the temples please ]

That's hardly anything new. What makes this worth your warning us?
