[ and, true to her word, a little over five minutes later, and she's only a stone's throw away from the clinic. it's been a little while since she's done something silly like this, and it would be a lie to say she wasn't a little bit excited to wreck havoc in a non-damaging way. ]

You think we should test it on ourselves, first? [ Before descending upon strangers, and friends alike, of course. ]

[It doesn't take much longer for Rey to arrive, living not far from the clinic, either. She's armed with what appears to be a rather typical-looking revolver. Not something that you would expect to find in this little happy land of delight.

[Which is all the more reason why the outcome was so disappointing at the time. But, having scored herself a sniper rifle, Rey is in a somewhat more chipper mood.]

Maybe. We'd probably catch shit if we end up making some unwilling passerby explode into confetti or whatever.

[That makes the alternative so much better, right? Right?]

[ The revolver does not have the appearance of something that shoots rainbows, but Sharon has no idea what something that shoots rainbows should even look like, so she can't be too upset that it isn't an opalescent gun that looks like it was made from unicorn horn. ]

That wasn't something I knew I wanted until now. [ And if the explosion came with an accompanied cheer, it would be even better. ]

[ Giddily: ] So, let's see that rainbow. [ Shoot something, Rey! ]

[Shoot something? Should she get a bottle and put it on a fence?

[Well, there aren't any bottles around. Or fences, for that matter--

[Oh wait, there's a nice little picket fence around the clinic right now, courtesy of Loud Valley aesthetics. It's all quite pleasing to the eye.

[Rey blinks, straightens her mouth, then aims the revolver at the structure itself as though she's pointing at an invisible bullseye.

[And something amazing happens.]

What the--?

[Rather than a bullet piercing a hole through the fence, it becomes adorned with a spectrum of colors, just like the colorful smoke that shoots out when Rey pulled the trigger. It's rather Lisa Frank-esque enough...]

[ As ridiculous as the cheerful aesthetics are, it sure does seem to give them a little more to work with. Just as Sharon wonders if there's one of those tacky flamingo lawn ornaments around to use as a target, Rey chooses the 50s styled picket fence.

The smoke that leaves the barrel is beautiful, but it's the bright mess that spatters the fence that causes Sharon to drop her jaw. Well, that was totally unexpected, and... ]

Cool. [ It's the non-weapon weapon that every person who dreams of shooting rainbows wishes for. The look in her eyes screams something mischievous. ]

So, how terrifying do you think Fear's temple would be in those colors?

[circumitus]

[A twist curves the corner of Rey's lip at the suggestion Sharon is now presenting.]

Am liking the way you think.

[Sure, it'll probably all vanish once things go back to normal, but it does leave some ideas in the future.

[Spinning the revolver in one hand, the remaining rainbow smoke dissipates just as Rey clutches the grip again.] How about we pay him a little visit?

Fuck yes. [ It might not last, it might not even get Fear to blink, but that doesn't mean it won't be both fun as hell and a little therapeutic. She takes the lead to the temple, pace easy. The last time she was there, she'd spent an emotional hour or so attempting to wreck it; she didn't have explosives, just a shitty sword and her powers, but she made sure she left her fucking mark.

It's a shame he bothered to fix all of it.

As they begin to near the stores, Sharon looks to Rey. ]

Should we stop to grab a couple more? [ Of the revolvers. They sure would look badass dual wielding rainbow guns, right? ]

[Rey glances to the shops, and then back to Sharon.]

It'd be a waste not to.

[She throws her hand up as she starts towards the shop where she had picked up the rainbow-spewing revolver.]

On a scale of one to ten -- from chilled to a volcanic meltdown -- how upset do you think he would be if we wrote something along the lines of "cock-juggling thunder cunt" on his temple?

...Assuming he'd know what that even means. [These guys don't seem to get humans that much, after all.]

He wouldn't get it, and then we'd have to explain it to him, and even then he'd be totally unaffected. [ as if to prove the point, she continues, rolling her eyes. ] I threatened him once, and he told me he liked me.

[ He is frustratingly unaffected by anything they do. Fuck. He doesn't even really give a shit if someone fucks up his temple. ] But I'm down for filling his temple with as many profanity filled insults as we can. Maybe we can imply that he and Hope are in some sort of sordid relationship, too. [ Petty, yes, but maybe that will piss him and Hope off. Two birds, one stone. ]
