[In fact he's been contemplating just how far underground Hadriel is, and just what it would take to strategically dig upwards. But considering his own meagre supplies so far, they're better saved for something fun instead.]

Perhaps. Or just save it for a rainy day. This place is anything but predictable, save for the inevitable shit hitting the fan from time to time. That's a given.

Everyone keeps talking about how terrible it can be, but nothing I've seen so far has been that bad.

[Well he "got" eviscerated, but that was a little entertaining and an ultimately productive deal with Fear. And the darkness was difficult to manage, but it just slowed things down more than anything. Monsters? Pretty fun, although it's clear he needs some better firepower. All in all, not terrible at all.]

[She finishes working on the mine she's got in front of her and sets it down carefully. It's dangerous stuff.]

Not long after coming here, a bunch of people woke up being buried alive. Shortly after that, Rage and Fear tampered with the food supply and forced cannibalism on anyone who was stupid enough to eat that shit, and were turned into wendigos. Then a number of us got pitted against each other -- got shot in the head by some asshole during that rodeo.

[What a pain.]

You're looking very well for someone who got shot in the head. Then again, it looks like you've seen a lot of action in your day, so maybe it's not such a big deal to you either.

[Rey's pretty lucky to have evaded that fate herself. Still, she knows it was no picnic for others who weren't so fortunate.

[She scoffs.] It's going to take way more than a bullet to the head. Was once shot quite a few hundred times, and yet was killed by drowning of all things.

Sato hasn't chosen an angle yet, a way to set things up for and to justify his own little war games yet -- and besides, he's having a lot of fun in the cave system still. So there's nothing to really reveal per se. But it doesn't hurt to go a little further, in commenting, not quite a question:]

[Finally she swivels the chair around so she's facing at an actual conversational angle, just in time to note Sato's brief focus on her little arsenal so far when he spoke. Doesn't take a genius to piece two and two together what he means.]

"Like" doesn't factor in here. Just don't have any illusions of living a nice and quiet life, so that's all there is. Better to be ready for when things get all cocked up.

[Fighting and killing is what she's best at, anyway.]
