[Eyyyy, so. Here's a face some of you may already recognize. Souji puts on his best crowd-pleasing smile as he turns the camera on himself, clearly comfortable with this method of public address. Observant types might guess he's probably had some practice with it, and they'd be right.]
Hello. I've already met some of you, but for those I haven't, my name is Souji Seta. It's very nice to speak with you all.
[He turns the camera around to show one of the uninhabited buildings in the city, possibly one that you've noticed before, and continues speaking:]
I noticed this empty building looks like it might have been a restaurant at some point in the past. I don't really know anything about building renovation, so I'd like to ask if there's anyone here who does know who would be willing to help me restore it.
[The view shifts again, back to Souji.]
Before I was brought here, I was on a ship, and I used to cook for the crew. I'd like to continue doing so, if you'll allow me. I think having someplace like this would be especially helpful for new arrivals while they're adjusting to life here, but I'd be happy to cook for everyone.
[A quiet yip yip can be heard from offscreen, drawing Souji's attention to something at his feet (it's a fox, shhh). He smiles and nods.]
Yes, even you.

Renovation wasn't exactly my line of work when I was home, but I'd be happy to help out where I can anyway. [Hey, she can lift stuff, knock stuff down, put things up, etc.]
video
Thank you. I don't really know where to start, so any help would be appreciated - is it Agent Romanov?
[He won't assume; the first time, she was called Talia. And if she doesn't recognize him, he's hardly on a first-name basis.]
video
That's me. Are we from the same world? [It's not like the Avengers aren't well known there -- they're very public figures -- so, most everyone would know their names. Plus, she'd met someone named Wanda here, who had said she was from the same earth as Natasha, and also an Avenger.]
video
[And to her question, he shakes his head.]
I don't think so. I met Agent Romanov in the place where I was before I was brought here. She was a friend.
[video]
[The redhead grins at Souji]
I helped m' pa out fixin' th' house, I maght be able t' help y' out some.
[Bit more of a smile]
I think we c'ld have a fair trade, work fer food.
[video]
Thank you. I'd appreciate whatever help you can offer. I've only ever built models, so I really don't know where to start.
Re: [video]
[Because if he keeps helping, Souji will keep feeding him, right?]
[video]
[Souji will feed you regardless OK. It's his thing.]
voice.
video for him ;~;
... Wanda?
voice forever. private.
You know me. How?
also private, yes ;~;
[Come on, Seta, get it together. You know how this works by now. Souji takes a deep breath and forces a smile on his face.]
I'm sorry, I knew a different Wanda where I was before. We were friends.
[A little more than friends, really, but that's not really important to mention, is it? He is a stranger to this woman.]
It might sound strange, but we met in a dream. I mentioned I worked on a ship before - there was a fleet of these ships, and everyone who was on one of them also had an implant. [He points to the back of his head, behind his left ear.] There was some kind of malfunction, probably with the implants, and it allowed us to share dreams for a little while.

[ nnnnnoooo she really doesn't. People come here from alternate worlds all the time, and Wanda's never heard of anyone knowing her somewhere else. ]
[ Still, there's little purpose in lying to her, if Souji knows her then he knows her powers: she can't imagine hiding them. Nobody can lie to her. ]
What do you know about me?
no subject
I know ...
[What does he know? He's aware enough of the nature of different realities to understand that people aren't always the same across the board. In different places, he himself has different names, and in at least one, he is a serial murderer.]
If you're like the Wanda I knew, I know you're very strong.
[It's one of the things that drew him to her in the first place.]
You ... experienced great loss, and you blamed yourself for it.
[He thinks back to the vision he was shown, of Pietro's death, and what Wanda told him - that it was her fault he'd been killed.]
But it takes a strong person to keep going after something like that.
[He smiles sadly, thinking this time about Nanako and how what he did after her death could barely be considered strong. He'd retreated from his friends instead of seeking out their strength to help him through the aftermath of losing her, and even though it felt right at the time, he can see now that it was a disservice to all of them.]
You're also very kind. And you have a good appetite. If you're alike - I know it's possible you're not.
[audio]
A ship, you say? Did you play any part in its operation?
he sticks with video
[perma-audio]
And I do not claim to have knowledge of architectural conservation or renovation. I have nothing to contribute to the project but my sincerest hopes for its success.

[Is this kid A Good or what.]
I don't mind you asking. It was a space ship, actually - most of the time I was on board, that's what the ship did, travel through space. We docked for a while on a planet that was mostly ice, though. It wasn't anywhere I've ever heard of before.

What's the catch?
video;
There isn't one.
video;
In my experience, there's always a catch. Why'd ya wanna help strangers for?
video;
Because it's the right thing to do. I promise, Mister, there's no catch. I enjoy cooking for others, and it's something I'm pretty good at doing, so I'm happy to help however I can.
video;
He scoffs, almost laughing out loud when the kid says 'It's the right thing to do' Where'd they get this one from anyway? some kind of Diseny flick? ]
Dumb-ass... You'll get yaself taken advantage of. Might as well draw a target on ya head.
[ Heine makes a cross on his own forehead, smirking into the camera. ]
X marks the spot kiddo.
[ It is a nice thought though... Getting fed for free until he's on his feet. The boy doesn't look like he'd harm a fly, heck, Heine would be doing him a solid by turning up, if there was trouble he'd be able to nip it in the bud, lickety-split. ]
.... What kinda things can ya cook anyway?
video;
[He not naive - Souji has experienced what it's like to be on the taking end of such a situation, when he spent those weeks in Melasurei as a power-hungry demon - so he knows how those who would want to take advantage of others think. But it's not really taking advantage if he's volunteering for this willingly, is it?]
A lot of things. I'm from Japan originally, but in the place where I was before, I had an implant, and I learned a lot of different recipes that way. I can't remember it all, but I can always try my best if there's something in particular you'd like.
[video]
That's such a nice idea! I'll definitely help out, if you can use an extra pair of hands. For building or cooking, I suppose. I don't know much about building renovation though, sorry...

Have you spoken with any of them? The gods.
[video]
['Nervous' isn't the right word... nor is 'shy', really.]
Cautious, I suppose, when it comes to people claiming to be gods.
[video]
[Beings in power don't typically come to be so by accident. Souji knows this, because he was one, during his first Jaunt, where he became a centuries-old demon who was obsessed with collecting and wielding power over whichever unfortunate souls in Melasurei crossed his path. Some of the gods here may claim to be invested in maintaining the well-being of the people who have been brought here, but it's not solely for the benefit of Souji and the others like him.]
I've only spoken with Hope, when he asked us to clean up the city a little while back. It seemed like a pretty harmless request.
[video]
[She has much less experience with gods and such things, but the last person who claimed he was or wanted to be one straight up tried to kill her. And her friends. Several times. That kind of thing tends to color one's opinions on the divine, somewhat.]
Hope seems to want to help, in his way, I suppose. The other 'gods' I've only seen on the network, read a few of their interactions, things like that.
