[As if Newt would ever give up the chance to make a video, so here he is sitting in the kitchen. Also, he's bored being cooped up inside for an extended period of time, so there's also that]

Okay normally I would ask why people are actually venturing outdoors when shit's going down like this, but something tells me that's a super pointless question so instead here's this one:

So we got one account of what zombies are like in one person's world, but I was wondering what other incarnations are out there. [Newt folds his arms on the table, leaning down on them a bit] In Haven, there were a couple running around in some of the tunnels and they were from the same world as a couple of my housemates--one of them almost bit me. That was a trip. [he pauses, briefly, blinking] Er. The zombie, not my housemates. [--except--] Well, okay, one of them stabbed me in the chest and killed me but that wasn't until later so I don't think that really counts in this conversation? [he says it so casually. . . . . . . ANYWAY, back on topic as Newt waves a hand] Anyway, these zombies were taken over by a fungus called cordyceps. Basically it took over the brain of the corpse of whatever it attached itself to and made it into a puppet.

Now, we have this same fungus in my world, but it never went all zombie on human beings, just small animals. I'm talking, like...bugs. Sooo basically I'm wondering what other types of zombies people might've either run into, whether from their own world or a different one. And what caused them to become zombies in the first place. I'm talking like virus or fungus or whatever.

Or, like, whatever else anyone wants to talk about because holy shit I'm so bored right now.

I was mostly stealing from Renge. She's the reason I burned that forest, too. Everything else I did was just to help me get rid of her and find our Princess Ozma again. Including giving up my heart, which maybe didn't help my emotional stability.

You gave up your heart? [wtf????] how...does that work, exactly?

Oh, you know, cast a spell, have it ripped out of your chest and disappear, only escape death because you have the ability to heal. Immortality, yay!

[Wasn't exactly going to go into the specifics about it, and his tone indicates as much.]

Enough? So like...what? You only stay alive or come back in certain circumstances? [Newt's pretty awful at reading tones 8D]

I can be killed by something specific. I might be dying. But you're stuck with me for a good long while, as long as I don't go home.

[Newt considers this] So...bonus to being stuck here, I guess? Hey, dude, not being able to die is a definitely plus.

Not that way. I'm the same here and back on Earth, and Oz, and anywhere else. I just didn't want you to get your hopes up when it came to me dying. It's going to take a while.

Uhh....why would I have hopes about you dying? [wat]

These things happen. Just got a feeling about it.

Uh, well, you haven't hurt me or anyone I know, so there's really no reason for me to want you dead, dude. [Newt huffs] A lot of people've got bad shit in their past; it's a matter of here and now, anyway.

[shrug]

Okay. Say I wanted to burn something down. What's a place I definitely shouldn't do that to if I wanted you to keep not wanting me dead?

Uhhh, anything useful like the clinic or the lab? Or our food supply? [eyebrow raise] Why would you want to do that in the first place?

I am very bored and things here are very annoying.

Dude, that's what the monsters in the caves are for, if you're so desperate. [Warrick, pls] And if you don't wanna do that, ask around and find a way to make yourself useful or something and you'll get less bored pretty quick.

Funny, after being mistaken for one of those monsters, I'm not as keen as taking my anger out on them as you people.

[Newt rolls his eyes a bit at that] Fine, whatever, but there are seriously plenty of other ways to keep yourself from being bored than setting things on fire. That really doesn't help anyone, least of all, you.

I fail to see how arson helps me the least.
