Hey, everyone. Just uh, a quick announcement that the emergency alert app now works with the GPS. You'll have to redownload it, but all your settings and whatever should just carry over to the new version automatically.

[There's a file attached to the post to download, and Chris is quiet a moment before continuing.]

And just like, if anyone's curious, magic GPS is not the easiest thing even to work with. Also, those are totally not words I ever thought I'd say.

[But whatever. He goes a little more serious then, adding in a last comment--]

I um, hope everyone's doing okay after the event, too.

[And he gives a small wave goodbye, though he doesn't end the broadcast just yet. Instead, he switches on a filter.]

Hey um, I also updated the version of the program that you use for check-ins. Same deal as with the emergency app; it should just update all your settings and whatever automatically, but you'll have to redownload it.

[Hadriel's phones need an autoupdate feature.]

Also I just realized that I said an event where I had to shoot some sort of mutant bear monster with bones sticking out of it 'could've been worse.' What is with our lives here, seriously.

I feel sort of silly for complaining about what happened before I was here. No hot water? Nothing to eat but pancakes with syrup for a week? Rookie stuff.

But I mean, just because stuff here sucks worse doesn't mean the other stuff didn't suck too.

I know. Maybe one day our horrible experiences here will be nothing more than fond memories. It's happened to me before.

I could totally survive on just pancakes for a week, even without syrup. With it it'd be awesome.

[He'd probably start getting annoyed around day six, but still.]

Yeah, that'd be great if it didn't mean they were fond because something else terrible was happening.

I don't really like sweets. They make me feel gross. [ she will understand if Chris thinks she's a monster. ]

I guess the GPS think is kind of cool. If you like people knowing where you are.

I have some friends like that, so although I totally don't get it I guess it's not a surprise either.

[Also, although he hates to think about it he's pretty sure after nearly a year of being vegetarian he'd end up feeling the same way if he ate meat again.]

I like people knowing where I am if something's gone super bad, yeah.

[Which is why he wanted it; it should be really helpful in emergencies, and hopefully enough to make everything else worth it.]

You're very smart and I like when you make things but I'd be happy if I never have to use it.

Well I'll take the compliment and hope no one ever needs to use it too. That'd actually be great.
