Hey, everyone. Just uh, a quick announcement that the emergency alert app now works with the GPS. You'll have to redownload it, but all your settings and whatever should just carry over to the new version automatically.

[There's a file attached to the post to download, and Chris is quiet a moment before continuing.]

And just like, if anyone's curious, magic GPS is not the easiest thing even to work with. Also, those are totally not words I ever thought I'd say.

[But whatever. He goes a little more serious then, adding in a last comment--]

I um, hope everyone's doing okay after the event, too.

[And he gives a small wave goodbye, though he doesn't end the broadcast just yet. Instead, he switches on a filter.]

Hey um, I also updated the version of the program that you use for check-ins. Same deal as with the emergency app; it should just update all your settings and whatever automatically, but you'll have to redownload it.

[ She snorts. It's not an idea she even entertains. Her opinion on deals has shifted, but not enough to excuse exchanges with the enemy on something frivolous. ]

You and I both know that will never happen. [ She says, as she sits in Fear's temple, working on a deal. :| ] Plus, I've replaced my energy drinks with alcohol.

Yeah, yeah.

[It isn't mocking, just a joking agreement. As far as drinking--]

I uh, think that's kind of the opposite effect.

Yeah, but it works well here. [ A bunch of caffeine would just keep her up, and, honestly, she'd rather not be awake if it's not necessary. ]

I guess. I'd be, you know, a little concerned about drinking too much in this place, though.

[Although he knows from experience that isn't always enough reason not to.]

And why is that? [ aside from the totally obvious reasons ]

Considering how fast things go to shit here, the chance of being drunk during an emergency isn't exactly low.

[And you're not much of a help in that situation, which is another thing he knows from experience. Also, of course there's totally obvious reason that he should still add--]

Also it's kind of a bad habit to get into to deal with how much everything sucks.

Because there's a good habit I can develop to better deal with things? [ The worst thing that can happen is death, right? ]

Hey, don't say it like that. There are tons of better way of dealing.

They're just, you know, kind of unrealistic here.

[It's... Not quite a joke, just put lightly. But even with that less than optimistic comment--]

But I mean, nothing's still better than something bad.

[At least he hopes so. It's not like not coping has been working out great for him, but he's pretty sure drinking would've just been even worse.]

Not here it isn't. [ It's like drowning. It's like she's always drowning, and it's probably her own fault, so she'll drown quietly. ]

[He's quiet a moment at that.]

Well um, let me rephrase that. Nothing's better than something bad if we have something to do besides just dwelling on the bad shit.

[But that's... Not always the case, here. He's said before that this place alternates between horrible and extremely boring, and the extremely boring can be just as much of a problem.]

If. [ She emphasizes. ] But don't worry, I spend my time with more than just a bottle of whiskey. I like to deface the books in the library during our downtime.

[ She doesn't do that... often, but if you ever come across a dick with a mustache and monocle in a book, it's probably Sharon's. You're welcome. ]

Just as long as you're not like, ruining a masterpiece like Sunday Turnip Prices or whatever then hey, everyone needs a hobby.
