[ Cashmere's curled up in her bed, wrapped in the blankets. her face has a little pink flush to her face gives away that she's a little chilly. ]

Given the weather, anybody want to cuddle?

I don't even have one hundred percent real chocolate, just something sweet and close-ish. But it's sweet and warm and seems to have a good caloric content.

Thanks - [ oh. he's gone. okay. Cashmere pulls herself out of bed and trades the blankets for two sweaters and a smaller blanket, making her way to the front room to see if he is indeed on his way over. ]

[He is. Bruce arrives a few minutes later, with what he can only presume is goat milk (or something) and his pockets full of the cocoa/carob-y stuff that's a chocolate stand in. He knocks, politely, since it isn't his house, not really.]

[ not technically his house, but it's possible no one would stop him if let himself in. she opens the door long enough to usher him inside, and is quick to shut out the cold again. sort of. it's cold inside, too. ]

So, a chef and a doctor, hmm? Aren't you full of surprises?

I'm definitely not a chef. I've just lived on my own all of my life. Cook or starve, you know?

[He says, with a nod of greeting, coming in and towards her kitchen, to get the stove going right away. It really is bitter.

Then, and only then, does he begin unwrapping some of his outer layers.]

We call it obey or starve at home. [ oh, haha. so funny. ]

I haven't gotten too adventurous with the food here yet. It all seems harmless, even if it's a little weird.

Whenever I find a new fruit or vegetable I test it to make sure it's not poisonous. Skin contact, then waiting to see if I get a rash, then a mouthful and a day to see if I react, then introducing it progressively.
