I agree. [He likes seeing the subtle shifts in emotion on Maedhros's face.] I'll be there after the lesson.

[True to his word, he is standing in the exact place he had coaxed Maedhros under the mistletoe. While he is dressed for the weather - somewhat (he is wearing a sweater and pants) - it's clear he has intentions of sharing that cloak.]

{Maedhros wears much the same as ever. And the promised cloak opens as he walks up to drape over Anakin's shoulders while remaining attached around the Elf's neck. Along with an arm, to hold the Man close.}

How did your grandson do?

[He slips under the cloak, smiling. An arm will slip around Maedhros in return before Anakin answers.]

He's powerful. We're focusing more on helping him calm his mind. I think...

Someone took advantage of him. If that someone arrives here, I won't let them get to him again.

{Anakin won't be cold while Maedhros has a say in it! He nods, a small frown appears as his eyes narrow slightly.}

That was my impression during the short talk I had with him. You will not be the only one to stand between him and whoever did him harm.

[Not that Elves need protection from the cold, but Anakin is warm against Maedhros's side. If nothing else, he can be comforting.]

His name is Snoke. I don't know of him - I don't recognize the name - but he could have changed it. He's definitely someone that knows of Skywalker power. Since he couldn't convince Luke or Leia to follow him, it looks like he settled on Leia's son - and at a young age too.

[Which angers him.]

Kids shouldn't be used like that. [Though apparently they can be killed for the greater good. Anakin doesn't like to think about what he did to the young Padawans.]

{No, but Maedhros finds he likes the warmth Anakin gives off, and he really is strangely comforting. He guides the Man out to walk over snow still on the ground at a leisurely pace.}

I will remember the name should he be fool enough to come here. {He promises, voice hard and harsh.}

But there are also actions he does not regret. One of which is what he and Anakin have done. He returns the smile and squeezes him fondly.} I am not so easily harmed.

{Amusement glints in pale eyes.} I remember the time before the Sun and the Moon of my world were created. When the world was lit by Trees powered by those who made our universe. {And then, a bit more somberly} I hung by the wrist likely longer than you have been alive.

[There is no regret on his part either. Maedhros helped him expend some of his tensions and frustrations. He had actually slept that night. Without dreams.]

I did not think you would be easily harmed - or harmed at all! [He has seen Maedhros as a strong challenge from the beginning. Their natures are well-suited.]

{Where Anakin had slept peacefully through the night, Maedhros had rested well though he hadn't let himself sleep as Men knew it. Having that rest is more a gift than some might know.

His lips quirk at the faith, then at the clear surprise - however expected it is!}

If you are asking if I regret what we have done together, the answer is no. And age does not define everyone. The story written on your body tells a tale that cannot be of one inexperienced.

[Even in slumber, Anakin senses are attune for danger. But there had been none at Maedhros's side and his body had felt good for the first time in...too damn long. The firelight had warmed their skin and he doesn't have any qualms about repeating...all of it. Maybe more.]

I don't regret it either. Even if you're the same age as some planets! [He grins cheekily and rubs his hand over Maedhros's back.]
