[Some might recognize the cat - the stray cat that seemed to hate Anakin before - behind said Sith. So what if the fuzzy creature is batting a ball between his paws and being downright charming? So what?]

[He wants his own army because why the hell not?]

We're not angry at everything. [And cooking is just about following directions.] Now if you asked me to cook for someone I hate, that might be a different story.

[He stirs the chicken and vegetables together with a light broth before spooning it into a smaller bowl. That he carries to Hux while it's still steaming. Eclipse sniffs the air.]

[Hux shifted so he was sitting more upright holding out his hands for the bowl. It smelled delicious and his stomach growled.

He gently nudged the cat away from the hot bowl once he got it settled on his lap, he doubted Eclipse would like trying to drink hot broth.]

Well, I'm glad you don't hate me then.

Why would I? [Anakin picks up Eclipse so he's not a complete nuisance and carries him back to the kitchen for some fish.] I reserve my hate for those who have really earned it.

I'm glad. [Hux let Anakin have Eclipse, leaning back on the couch pillows as he ate. He knew he had said he hadn't been hungry earlier but he apparently was starving. The soup was gone in short order and he placed the bowl aside, watching Anakin with the cat.]

Thank you for the soup.

[He comes back to Hux after the cat is happily munching on his fish. He sits down on the couch beside him and stretches out his legs with a sigh.]

[Brendol Hux had terrified little Armitage with the threat that if he ever failed the Empire, if he was ever weak and faltered, Darth Vader would be there to deal with him as he had countless admirals and generals. It's not something easily forgotten despite getting to know Anakin here.]

While I'm not terrified of you- [Which was evident in the way he had no hesitation of assigning Anakin household chores and the such. ] - I am also aware of the power you yield and the influence you had in your future.

Huh. [He doesn't look upset. Well that is some good news. He won't stand for mistakes or anything that interferes with the peaceful galaxy he seeks.] I could choke you to death.

[That is said simply - like he is talking about the weather.]

You could, easily. [Hux's voice was even with no hint of fear. He knew Anakin was very capable of it, just as Kylo Ren was. He knew that neither of them would need to bother with a lightsaber if they wanted to kill him.]

But I'm not. [As if that is any comfort.] ...unless you make me do too many chores.

Good because my throat already hurts as it is. [No throat hugging today.]

You won't have to once Kylo and I are feeling better.

Honey helps that. [He snickers and blinks when Eclipse walks over, smacking his lips and hopping into his lap.] Hello, there.

The soup helped as well, thank you.

[He watched Eclipse as he settled back down, laying against the couch pillow with a shiver.]

He really likes you.

You're welcome. [He scratches behind the cat's fuzzy ears.] Only when I've made him happy.

Well, it has to mean something that he keeps coming to you when you don't have food, though. [Not that he knew much about cats, it just seemed like a logical explanation.]

...maybe. [Eclipse watches them with mild interest, tail swishing.] Or I'm just a comfortable place to perch.

It could be worse, at least he's not using you to sharpen his claws. [He pulled the layers of blankets up with a yawn, shivering slightly. He put the damp cloth on the coffee table so it didn't fall off of him.]

He better not. [Anakin frowns at the cat's paws.] I guess he needs them if he goes out and about.

You should get him something to scratch so he doesn't use the furniture or one of us.

What do you suggest? [He examines the claws on one foot, pushing Eclipse's pad so that they extend.]

Well, perhaps something similar to the leg of the couch since Eclipse seems to like using it. I would prefer if he didn't shred the furniture, however.

I can get him one. [Maybe from the wreckage of the previous apartment.] I can't promise he won't shred anything else though.

That's why he's not allowed in my room. I don't think Kylo will be as understanding if Eclipse decided to sharpen his claws on him or his clothes.

He'd get over it. Eclipse would tell me if he was mistreated. [He grins unnervingly.]

[Hux only raised his eyebrows, he's been around Kylo enough to know the Force worked in mysterious ways he wouldn't understand.]

He'll probably try to get Eclipse to like him better, just to be difficult.

Sounds about right. [What is with his family? It must be in the genes.] And Eclipse being Eclipse will be contrary too.
